    Dundee v Hearts (15:00)

Dundee boss Tony Docherty says his players will have learned from the defeat at Tyncastle 10 days ago after being two up at half-time. And with Luke McCowan back in the starting XI they are likely to be a real handful for Hearts.

Steven Naismith says there is a “bug within the group” that means there is no Stephen Kingsley with Toby Sibbick making a return. Hearts are unbeaten since the start of December and are in pole position to secure what could be a very lucrative third place finish in the league.

  4. New signings bring 'energy' - Montgomerypublished at 14:56 Greenwich Mean Time 3 February

    Hibernian v St Mirren (15:00)

Hibernian manager Nick Montgomery tells BBC Scotland: "We only had one centre-back, so Nectar (Triantis) comes straight in.

"Paul Hanlon off sick again today. Nectar [Triantis] is a good signing. He is a player that I know and knows the way that we play.

"Hopefully they'll bring energy, that's what I brought them in for. We've got some good young lads, with good energy, so I think today we're really looking forward to putting on a good performance in front of the Easter Road crowd."

  5. 'Killie should be favourites - but that's not how football works'published at 14:54 Greenwich Mean Time 3 February

    Motherwell v Kilmarnock (15:00)

Motherwell manager Stuart Kettlewell tells BBC Scotland: "We were by far the dominant team last weekend [against St Johnstone]. We created lots of chances, we played well. I've been loyal, if you're playing to your level, you get your chance to go again.

"There's more depth there. We've got one or two injured players coming back. Jon Obika isn't too far away. The new signings need to integrate, they need to get a feel for what we do and how we work but hopefully we see them on the pitch today.

"Kilmarnock have been so good all season. It's always been close between the two sides. You can see the clout and financial power Kilmarnock have - they should be favourites on that front - but that's not how football works."

  6. Van Veen gives McInnes 'more options'published at 14:52 Greenwich Mean Time 3 February

    Motherwell v Kilmarnock (15:00)

Kilmarnock manager Derek McInnes tells BBC Scotland: "We want to get back to winning ways. It'll be a tough game. We've played them twice - at home we were very good. The last game here was a sore one for us to take.

"Our best performances this season have all come through work rate and energy, we've never been about individuals. We want to impose ourselves today. Regardless of form, there's nothing between the teams and we're well aware that.

"All four signings on the bench - they're coming into a good team that's going well. They've got work to do to get involved and play their part. Kevin [van Veen] gives us more comfort, more options. They know their way around the league."

With Celtic dropping points, it only adds to the anticipation around Ibrox Stadium. The huge roar at that news from those already here said it all.

Rangers have the opportunity to close right in on their rivals and who would have thought that when Philippe Clement took over with them languishing seven points behind back in October.

Livingston face a really challenging afternoon as they continue to seek something positive from a difficult campaign to date.

    Rangers v Livingston (15:00)

Livingston manager David Martindale tells BBC Scotland: "You're coming here and you've got to try and stay in the game. It's very important to be solid and have a good structure behind the ball and have that fire in your belly.

"I know people are going to think I'm a lunatic here, but the performances have been there.

"I'm still fighting, the boys are still fighting, the staff are still fighting right up to matchday 38."

  10. Will Van Veen come back to haunt Motherwell?published at 14:48 Greenwich Mean Time 3 February

Motherwell against Kilmarnock, a fixture that thanks to the final day of the January transfer window takes on some added spice. Kevin Van Veen, he who scored 29 goals for Motherwell last season, is back at Fir park - in Killie colours.Very few would bet against him scoring!

Killie come to Lanarkshire in great form just one defeat in their past nine and with a solid away record of only two league defeats on their travels. Motherwell are unbeaten in their past four but the pressure remains, as they lie precariously close to that relegation play-off spot.

Games have been tight between the sides so far this season but it feels like the gap between the two has widened somewhat.

  12. Scott can provide spark St Mirren - Robinsonpublished at 14:43 Greenwich Mean Time 3 February

    Hibernian v St Mirren (15:00)

St Mirren manager Stephen Robinson tells BBC Scotland of the thought process behind granting James Scott his first start at the club and omitting captain Mark O'Hara from today's squad.

"I thought last week against Rangers we were really good in terms of our press, we just didn't have that spark to score a goal," said Robinson.

"I believe James gives us that. He can go past players, he understands the system, he has played under me before at Motherwell, and he adds a little bit of quality.

"Mark is not a bad one. But it's the case of, do we take that risk and he's out for six weeks or do you wait another week? I'm guided by medical opinion."

    Rangers v Livingston (15:00)

Rangers manager Philippe ClementImage source, SNS

Rangers manager Philippe Clement tells BBC Scotland he has "faith" is his squad after making six changes to his Rangers side.

On changes: "I have faith. Second thing, I need to prepare the team for the rest of the season."

"We have a lot of games. There are players getting chances again like Borna Barisic and Ryan Jack. It's important for Fabio Silva to get minutes and get used to the teammates."

On Livingston: "It's a team who will build a wall. They are really strong in the set pieces, so we need to watch out for that. Every game stays dangerous if you don't have respect."

On potential Oscar Cortes debut: "I don't know, it depends on the game. He only trained once with us. Dujon Sterling has a small muscle thing, so it was too dangerous to put him in today.

"We cannot expect miracles of him, but he showed in one training session he's got good technical qualities."

  16. FULL-TIME Aberdeen 1-1 Celticpublished at 14:31 Greenwich Mean Time 3 February

A point apiece and credit has to go to Aberdeen. They endured a torrid opening 45 minutes and were fortunate to make it to the break level. Then they scored through Bojan Miovski.

Celtic are due praise too, however. Their substitutions worked with Nicolas Kuhn levelling with a deflected shot and it really could have gone either way thereafter.

Again Aberdeen are able to clear but cannot get very far with Kyogo Furuhashi winning the ball back for Celtic.

It goes back and forth again...and again.
