    Burnley

Burnley manager Vincent Kompany, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: “This was good. This was big for us. We get to enjoy it this weekend.

“I think we started well. We didn’t wait for the game to happen and forced them into a mistake early doors. We created big chances today.

“We could have had more goals of course, and if you’ve not put a game to bed you have to grind it out. But we did that.

“I just want the team to be alive. We'll enjoy it today, then get back to work.”

On leaving James Trafford on the bench: “It’s not a big decision at all. I always try to do what’s best for the team. We chose the player that was ready for this game.”

  5. Bees denied 'clear, clear, clear' penaltypublished at 18:32 Greenwich Mean Time 16 March

    FT: Burnley 2-1 Brentford

    Brentford

Brentford manager Thomas Frank, speaking to Sky Sports: “I’m very proud of the players and very proud of the effort they put into the game. We played an even game, even in the last part of the game.

“The effort and mentality to keep staying in the game was incredible. It’s remarkable with 10 against 11 for more than 100 minutes.

“I think it’s a red card and a penalty [For Sergio Reguilon's foul on Vitinho]. I think the situation with Ivan [Toney] and the goalkeeper [Arijanet Muric] was a disallowed goal, I understand that.

“But the big mistake was the Zanka [Mathias Jorgensen] penalty eight minutes into the second half – it’s a clear, clear, clear penalty.”

  6. 'We still need to sharpen our tools'published at 18:30 Greenwich Mean Time 16 March

    FT: Burnley 2-1 Brentford

    Burnley

Burnley manager Vincent Kompany, speaking to Sky Sports: “It had been coming. We started the game well and there was a lot of energy in the team.

“On another day we could have scored more – we didn’t make life easy for ourselves – but we get to celebrate with three points and look forward to the next game.

“These teams are always able to do something with their quality, but we did what we had to do to manage this game.”

“Fofana could have made it 2-0, but those are the things were we still have to sharpen our tools a little bit.”

On Jacob Bruun Larsen’s penalty: “He’s a set-piece specialist. We felt very confident with him taking [the penalty].”

  7. 'We'll never give up, we'll always keep going'published at 18:29 Greenwich Mean Time 16 March

    FT: Luton 1-1 Nottingham Forest

    Luton Town

Luton boss Rob Edwards, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "You need [character]. We're getting a lot of blows at the moment.

"You get knocked down on Wednesday night and it was very tough for us all and I thought we performed really well today in difficult circumstances with the bodies missing.

"It was the same lot going again after only a day and a bit's prep really. To go 1-0 was another blow that we had to try and overcome.

"We lost two more players to injury - I don't know how they are now - we had several players playing out of position but somehow we managed to find a way to get something out of the game.

"There were a couple great pieces of defending, clearances off the line. We dominated large spells but they're a big threat on the counter and any mistakes, they can punish you.

"It looked like they could have done that today but this group just keep going."

On survival chances: "It's this club, Luton Town, we've got to fight, we've had to do that for a long time. I've come in over the last 18 months and learnt that.

"There is no other option than to keep going and keep fighting. The players have shown quality and bravery as well as that fighting spirit.

"We'll never give up, we'll always keep going. They're a special, special group.

"To be 3-0 up and lose the game midweek was tough for us all, so to come back in such a big game - and for Luke Berry, who has now scored in every league, to get that equaliser is a really special moment for him and this football club."

On injuries: "We're getting to the point where I might have to register myself and we don't want that, believe me!

"We'll try to patch ourselves up and there will be a lot of hard work between now and the next time we play but we're not expecting too many to be back unfortunately.

"That is difficult but we're not complaining. We'll keep fighting."

  8. 'We had clear chances to kill the game'published at 18:27 Greenwich Mean Time 16 March

    FT: Luton 1-1 Nottingham Forest

    Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "I think we did enough in the game to win it with the chances that we had and the way we played. We should have taken three points."

On missed chances: "That's the only thing that we could have done better is be clinical with the final touch, the finishing, because we had clear chances to kill the game and the result would be different.

"We need our strikers to finish and score. Unfortunately, we've had a big blow with the fitness of Taiwo Awoniyi - he had a knock during the week so let's see how he is - so hopefully Chris [Wood] stays well. It is important that we keep him fit."

On Chris Wood: "He has to be assessed. He was feeling something so it was a precaution. Hopefully it is nothing."

On conceding from a set piece: "In this game we had big boys to solve situations. OK, there is a problem there but is a huge problem to finish the chances that we have. Clear chances.

"I'm not happy with the performance. I think we did a good job, the boys stuck to their tasks, defended well, competed well but I'm not happy with the way we finished our actions."

  9. 'We were struggling physically out there'published at 18:26 Greenwich Mean Time 16 March

    FT: Luton 1-1 Nottingham Forest

    Luton Town

Luton goalscorer Luke Berry, speaking to Premier League Productions: "It was important I've been coming on late recently so it was nice to come on, help the boys and get a goal. It was a big game and we needed not to lose that.

"The manager told me to get forward, get a goal. Get off the strikers and sniffing on the knockdown from the corner.

"I'm not normally in there, I'm normally taking it or on the edge so maybe I can be in there more often now."

On earning a point: "It was massive. We needed to not lose and so we're still three off them with nine games to go so still a lot to play for.

"You could see we were struggling physically out there. You could see the boys were knackered. A lot of the boys have been playing 90s for weeks now without a rest."

On relegation battle: "Three points is not much and we've got a lot of games at home. I'm sure we're going to do well."

Fulham thoroughly deserve their lead. They've defended well and won the ball higher up the pitch. It was a fantastic finish.

It's weird though ain't it? What's behind Spurs' slow starts?

Every time I watch them they're constantly giving the ball away in the first half. Thing is, somehow they stay in it and then turn things around in the second.

    Madness.

Spurs fan here, with no fingernail's left, but we should know by now that we don't wake up until the second half... I'm sure that Ange will get the team ticking after the break.

Both teams want to keep the passing intricate. They want to pass out from the back and it's a really entertaining game.
