I don't see St Mirren dropping enough points to miss out on the top six.

Obviously stranger things have happened, but they don't strike me as a team who are going to go on a four-game losing streak.

  7. 'We'll need to change that'published at 19:38 Greenwich Mean Time 27 February

Ross County v St Mirren (20:00)

Stephen Robinson was taken aback a bit when presented with some stats by our man Kheredine Idessane yesterday.

The St Mirren boss is hoping to address that tonight.

    • St Mirren have won seven of their last 11 league games against Ross County and, following a 2-0 win in their most recent meeting in December, are looking to keep back-to-back league clean sheets against the Staggies for the first time since February 2021.
    • Ross County have only won two of their last 11 midweek Premiership games, although one of those was a 1-0 victory at home to St Mirren in November.
    • St Mirren lost six straight away games in the league prior to Christmas, but have since won two of three league matches on the road, with both wins coming by a 3-0 scoreline (against Aberdeen and Hibs).
    • Jordan White has scored in three of his five previous home games for Ross County against St Mirren, including both of his last two, and the winner in this exact fixture in November.
  9. St Mirren 'would love' to extend Kwon's loanpublished at 19:32 Greenwich Mean Time 27 February

Ross County v St Mirren (20:00)

St Mirren manager Stephen Robinson tells BBC Sportsound: "The performance [against St Johnstone] was professional. When I watched it back we actually played better than I thought. We've got strength on the bench as well to come and change the game.

"The option to bring on Mark O'Hara and Keanu Baccus in midfield shows how strong we've made the squad.

"Mark has struggled for two or three months now and tried to play on with it. He needed a rest to get right and it's welcome to have our captain back."

On extending midfielder Kwon Hyeok-kyu's loan, Robinson said: "It's something we'd love to do. That would be Celtic's decision. We've had an early conversation about it."

And on Ross County, the St Mirren boss added: "The three strikers Don [Cowie] played on Saturday are very dangerous.

"Two I've worked with and I know their strengths well. But we have to concentrate on what we do and take the game to them."

  10. Cowie hopes to use 'confidence from Saturday'published at 19:29 Greenwich Mean Time 27 February

Ross County v St Mirren (20:00)

Ross County interim boss Don Cowie tells BBC Sportsound: "It's important we were a threat on Saturday. Disappointed to concede two goals in the manner we did. To get the winning goal was massive for the group.

"I enjoyed the way [the attack] linked up, but the base of the performance was the midfield three.

"St Mirren are a very consistent team. It's about taking the confidence from Saturday and implementing that."

Ending the night in fourth spot is the carrot for St Mirren.

A win for the Paisley side in Dingwall will see them leapfrog Kilmarnock.

County can also jump a place and take themselves out of the relegation play-off spot with a victory.

  12. Can United maintain place at top?published at 19:23 Greenwich Mean Time 27 February

Dundee United’s Championship title destiny remains firmly in their own hands.

But with Raith Rovers just a point behind them and showing no sign of going away, the pressure is on United to keep delivering.

The Tangerines have suffered a few bumps this season, but they will be confident they can avoid one tonight and get the job done against a side they have beaten twice already this term.

As for Airdrie, there has been a lot to like about them so far this term, however they travel north looking to get back on the victory trail after a three-game winless league run.

Rhys McCabe’s side are seventh in the table, eight points off the promotion play-off places, and they will believe they can still force their way in to the mix for that.

Getting a win at Tannadice would be a good place for them to start.

St Mirren are unchanged following their weekend win over St Johnstone.
