Villa really need to win this, need to open that gap.

    Everton 0-0 Burnley

Seamus Coleman plays a good ball into the box but Abdoulaye Doucoure is just beaten to it in the air.

We're eight minutes from half time and still waiting for a first shot on target.

    Luton 0-0 Bournemouth

For the second time today Luton centre-back Teden Mengi goes down and needs treatment on his knee maybe. That's never a great sign.

    Aston Villa 0-0 Brentford

Kristoffer Ajer escapes a yellow card but he is on a final warning after bringing down Ollie Watkins again. It's stop-start, scrappy and uneventful so far. Not helped by a strong wind swirling around Villa Park.

Unsure how West Ham defenders have missed Joao Gomes' run into the box here. Luckily for them his first touch isn't the best and Kurt Zouma stops him.

Re: anon (14:26). While I agree with you in principle [RE Dyche], with Everton in the middle of a takeover, who would sack him? Who would appoint his replacement? And, perhaps most depressing of all, who would want the job?

Finally Newcastle wake up and they are not far off scoring as Anthony Gordon advances into space before sweeping an effort from 25 yards just wide of the post.

About 10 seconds before VAR Tim Robinson confirmed that penalty, David Moyes gestured to indicate he didn't think it should be awarded and went to sit down in his dug-out.

Both of these sides have been on the wrong end of debatable VAR decisions this season.

I suspect Moyes believes his team have been hard done by again.

    Everton 0-0 Burnley

Burnley continue to cause Everton concerns as Maxime Esteve is fouled by James Tarkowski and the visitors have a free-kick just outside the box. Jacob Bruun Larsen takes it but sends a dipping effort just over.

That was Wolves' ninth shot of the game. West Ham can have no complaints about being behind.

Pablo Sarabia has to wait for a bit to take this penalty, including for the ball to be moved back onto the spot, but he makes no mistake.

Lukasz Fabianski goes the right way but Sarabia's spot-kick goes in off the inside of the post.

Martin Dubravka is limping a bit but once again is trying to continue.

Those two breaks in play for him to receive treatment have disrupted the good start by Fulham.

Ollie Watkins is starting to cause a nuisance against his old club. He's a fraction too quick for Kristoffer Ajer and Villa win a free-kick on the edge of the box.

There's a delay before it is taken. It's poor as Lucas Digne's attempt is blocked.

Wolves are completely pulling the strings in this one. They’ve seen so much of the game and they have to score when they’re on top or West Ham will fire back.
