Over a half-century of goals in Leagues One and Two this afternoon.

Paul Mullin's hat-trick for Wrexham takes the individual plaudits, but there were some big wins out there.

Grimsby in the basement battle with Forest Green in League Two, and slender wins for leaders Portsmouth and Mansfield respectively.

As the stakes get higher, we return on Tuesday night with eight games as the League One promotion showdown between Barnsley and Bolton tops the bill.

Thanks for your company, see you then!

A bad day for Forest Green who slip five points from safety after losing their six-pointer at Grimsby.

The Mariners in turn climb above Colchester - who saw their match called off - and go six points clear of the relegation places.

Bottom side Sutton are six points from safety after a 20th defeat of the season, this time at Tranmere who secured a first win in three to all but secure their place in League Two next season.

Doncaster slipped to a first defeat in six matches against play-off chasers Walsall, but remain a healthy 12 points clear of the bottom two, a point behind Salford who went down at Gillingham.

With Stockport's match at Colchester postponed, Mansfield take full advantage as a narrow win at Newport opens up a three-point lead at the top.

Wrexham move back into the automatic promotion places, into third, as they thrash Accrington 4-0, leapfrogging Crewe who let a two-goal lead slip in a surprise defeat to Morecambe.

Barrow drop out of their play-off spots after their match with Crawley was called off.

They were leapfrogged by both Walsall and Gillingham who occupy the final two play-off places after wins over Doncaster and Salford, respectively.

But the race for the play-offs remains fluid, to say the least - a meagre five points separate sixth-placed Walsall and Harrogate in 13th.

Life remains grim for Carlisle after their 3-1 home loss to Reading. They are now 15 points from safety with only 11 games to go. Desperate times!

Far from desperate for Fleetwood following their 4-2 win over Wigan. Charlie Adam's side have real momentum as they chase an unlikely escape.

Port Vale's defeat at Derby was no real surprise, although Cheltenham could not take full advantage as they shared a goalless draw with Burton.

The gap is now four points between the Robins and safety, with Shrewsbury and Cambridge both dropping down.

Charlton picked up a useful point at Northampton to jump to 18th, while the Royals' win at Carlisle means the three points compensate for the two deducted in midweek by the EFL.

Just how important will Pompey’s home form prove to be come the end of the season?

Not the prettiest of three points but given the results around them, an important victory for Pompey against a plucky Oxford United.

It took just 88 seconds for the game’s first goal. A sharp attacking move from host’s finished by Callum Lang. That opener was cancelled out just minutes later.

Oxford attacked with purpose and were rewarded with a penalty. Cameron Branagan cooly converted his seventh spot kick of the campaign and it was level until the break.

An even game was eventually decided by a moment of quality. Marlon Pack’s pass was inch perfect and Christian Saydee’s finish was perfectly composed.

Oxford pushed Pomey all the way in search of an equaliser, hitting the woodwork twice, the League leaders threw bodies in the path of anything heading towards their goal and saw the game out in front of another bumper crowd.

We have not often been able to say this in recent weeks, but wins for all of the top five today.

Christian Saydee's second-half winner keeps Portsmouth seven points clear at the top, with now only 10 matches remaining.

Derby stay second after a convincing success over Port Vale, while Bolton also recovered from successive losses with a home win over Cambridge.

Those two are level on points, with Barnsley three behind after their 4-2 win at Wycombe and next up on Tuesday, it is Barnsley v Bolton at Oakwell.

Peterborough beat Exeter and they stay fifth, although they will still think they can get in the shake-up for the top two.

Stevenage only managed a goalless draw at Lincoln, but they move three clear of Oxford.

Blackpool are four points outside of the play-offs as they found some form on the road with a 2-0 victory at Shrewsbury.

  10. 'Portsmouth punished but they hung in'published at 17:00 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March

    FT: Portsmouth 2-1 Oxford Utd

    Guy Whittingham
Former Portsmouth manager on BBC Radio Solent

Portsmouth were punished today but they hung in there. They got one opportunity and they took it.

Oxford will feel hard done by. They were the better team but you've got to take your chances. It will be demoralising for them - they would have expected at least a draw.

    Wrexham 4-0 Accrington

All of the goal action came in the first half as Paul Mullin's hat-trick and Elliot Lee's strike end Wrexham's three-game winless run.

If they seal a second successive promotion their home record will be a big factor.

That is a big win for the League One leaders.

  13. RED CARDpublished at 16:56 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March

    Lewis Shipley (90+1 mins)

That seals a miserable afternoon for Accrington.

An awful challenge by Lewis Shipley on Andy Cannon earns him a slightly early bath.

  14. 'Both teams waiting for the full-time whistlepublished at 16:56 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March

    Derby 3-0 Port Vale

    Malcolm Christie
Former Derby striker on BBC Radio Derby

It almost feels like both teams just want the full-time whistle. The sting has been taken out of the game and it's just been a midfield battle.

Blackpool's play-off prospects are looking up - the Tangerines are poised to move up to eighth in the table as they lead 2-0 at Shrewsbury, Hayden Coulson scoring their second goal.

As it stands, Neil Critchley's side will go above Leyton Orient, who are losing 1-0 at home to Bristol Rovers - although the visitors are a man short, with James Wilson red-carded.

  19. 'Oxford have got to believe'published at 16:51 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March

    Portsmouth 2-1 Oxford Utd

    Peter Rhoades-Brown
Former Oxford and Chelsea winger on BBC Radio Oxford

Oxford have still got to believe. They won't disappear because of all the hard work and graft they've put in. They are still there - they've got a chance.

I can't believe they are in this position with all the quality they've shown. A nightmare result for Oxford if it stays this way.

  20. Postpublished at 16:50 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March

    Derby 3-0 Port Vale

Big chance for Ben Garrity to pull one back for Port Vale, but he shoots wide from inside the area.

Not Vale's day. They have not had many days for months in all honesty.
