Walsall were in the play-off spots during the half-time break, but they are back out of them now.

Elsewhere, Paul Glatzel has one back for Swindon and it is now 2-1 to Doncaster at the County Ground.

    FT: Oldham 2-2 Chesterfield

Well, that was a fun game of football and not in the script at all if you’re a Chesterfield fan.

If you’ve been an away fan when James Norwood is on one then you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about when I say he was at the centre of nearly everything for the Latics in a game that’ll raise hopes of an EFL return of their own.

The ex-Barnsley and Ipswich man put Oldham ahead from the spot after ex-Spireite Andrew Dallas was brought down and he should have got a couple more before Dan Gardner was played through to make it 2-0.

But Paul Cook’s men responded four minutes later when Bailey Hobson, on his first start, found himself free to half the deficit inside the area. That got the 1,700 fans on their feet and singing, “champions elect, ole, ole, ole!” but the champers will stay on ice for now.

That’s despite Joe Quigley’s cool second-half spot-kick conversion levelling proceedings and sub Armando Dobra hitting the bar minutes earlier.

A trip to The Shay and FC Halifax Town on Wednesday is their next chance but come on, with 92 points and Barnet needing to win all their games to overtake them, there’s a reason the away stand wasn’t too worried today.

One team that looks destined to be promoted to League Two next season are runaway National League leaders Chesterfield.

They could have sealed promotion as early as today - which tells you how far ahead they are - but Oldham have promotion hopes of their own and held the leaders to a 2-2 draw earlier.

BBC Sport's Sanny Rudravajhala was at the game...

  8. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:57 Greenwich Mean Time 16 March

    MK Dons 3-1 Crewe

What a half of football at Stadium MK!

They leapfrog Crewe into fourth as things stand.

Matthew Dennis with a brace and Stephen Wearne with the goals for the home side.

Elliott Nevitt scored the goal for Crewe to set it up nicely for what could be a lively second half.

  9. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:55 Greenwich Mean Time 16 March

    Peterborough 0-0 Portsmouth

Somehow this one remains goalless at the break.

Pompey came close to breaking the deadlock with Conor Shaughnessy and Colby Bishop having efforts blocked in a scramble from a corner just before the break while Ephron Mason-Clark thumped the crossbar for the hosts earlier on.

All to play for after the turnaround.

  10. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:54 Greenwich Mean Time 16 March

    Bradford 0-4 Mansfield

What a half for League Two leaders Mansfield.

Four goals in the first 45 minutes puts them well in the driving seat at Valley Parade.

Goals from Baily Cargill, Lucas Akins, Davis Keillor-Dunn and Will Swan has piled on the misery for Bradford.

  11. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:54 Greenwich Mean Time 16 March

    Reading 2-0 Cambridge

Sam Smith's close range finish on 11 minutes, his fifth goal in as many games, 11th of the season and against his former club, was followed by Femi Azeez's blistering solo goal on the stroke of half-time.

The Us had been pushing for a leveller late in the half so the half-time cuppas will certainly be supped more comfortably by the home faithful now.

  12. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:52 Greenwich Mean Time 16 March

    Forest Green 0-1 Sutton

Josh Coley with the only goal in this game at the foot of League Two.

Bottom of the table Sutton in charge going into the break.

  13. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:52 Greenwich Mean Time 16 March

    Derby 0-0 Bolton

Jon Dadi Bodvarsson's close range header, saved by Joe WIldsmith from close range, was as close as either side have come in the opening 45 minutes.

  14. goal

    Nightmare half for Bradford.

    A cracking one for Mansfield.

  15. goal

GOAL: Reading 2-0 Cambridgepublished at 15:50 Greenwich Mean Time 16 March

    Femi Azeez (45+2 mins)

On the stroke of half-time, a huge goal.

Femi Azeez pounces on a bouncing ball on the halfway line and races into green space, takes a couple of touches to bring the ball under his spell and then fires low past the keeper at the near post for his seventh goal of the season.

A blistering run and what a time to double their lead.

Exeter have only won one out of their last eight league games against Burton, but Reece Cole has blasted the ball home to put them 1-0 ahead.

Shrewsbury Town are hoping to pull themselves out of any realistic relegation danger today.

Dan Udoh has given them the 1-0 advantage that Paul Hurst's side were looking for with a calm finish while under pressure.

Shrewsbury are nine points clear of the drop zone at the moment.

    Peterborough 0-0 Portsmouth

Peterborough's Joel Randall has seen a shot on the turn deflected past the upright after a good run down the right wing by Kwame Poku.

Incredibly open game, this. A good advert for League One.

  18. Postpublished at 15:44 Greenwich Mean Time 16 March

  20. Postpublished at 15:42 Greenwich Mean Time 16 March
