That Arsenal game for Manchester City is a big one. If they get the three points from that, that really does put huge pressure on Chelsea who have to come away to Old Trafford against Manchester United to maybe pinch the title.

  3. Who wins it from here?published at 16:46 British Summer Time 21 April

With the title race looking like it is going right down to the wire, who do you think comes out on top from here?

  4. 'Ultimately we started the game too slow'published at 16:44 British Summer Time 21 April

FT: Man City 5-0 West Ham

    West Ham United

West Ham boss Rehanne Skinner talking to BBC Sport: "Ultimately we started the game too slow and that caused us a big problem because it makes it a lot harder. We created five clear cut chances, we hit the woodwork three times and we’ve not taken those chances. They are far more clinical than we are and that led to that scoreline."

On how to keep up spirits up between now and the end of the season: "You’ve got to look at the things we can’t accept and that’s how we started the first half. That’s got to improve and the players know that. We started the second half much better and for 30 minutes were much more positive. We showed good spells today and we want to take that into the few games before the season finishes."

On what she wants to see in final games: "We’ve got to make sure we are consistent. That takes time to build. When we play, we play with confidence and control. We have to bring that every week and players have to believe in that as much as I believe in that for them."

FT: Manchester City 5-0 West Ham

After a disappointing day for West Ham in the end, here's what their boss Rehanne Skinner had to say about their performance and the final result...

  6. 'When you look at that result it’s a big one'published at 16:41 British Summer Time 21 April

FT: Man City 5-0 West Ham

    Manchester City

Manchester City boss Gareth Taylor speaking to BBC Sport: "When you look at that result it’s a big one. It’s a good scoreline for us. They hit the woodwork on a couple of occasions but overall I’m really pleased with the performance. I thought we started the game tremendously well. It gave us a good platform to speak at half-time about what we wanted to achieve in the second half. To score two towards the end there was important for us."

On if there is an update on Khadija Shaw’s injury: "Not at the moment. It always looks worse when they’re on crutches but that’s just to offload them. It was touch and go as to whether she was going to come back on at half-time which gives a sense of maybe it’s not too serious, but we’ll have to see."

On what he said to players at full time: "It was just to talk about how we dealt with the pressure. Not the outside pressure, but the pressure from West Ham today. Even at 5-0 they are still putting you under severe pressure. We played our way through it and didn’t always get it right but some of the bravery we showed to play was spot on."

On the title race: "We don’t try and build it up too much. We accept that there probably will be some nerves and that’s fine. Everyone is excited and wants us to do well. It’s just a case of tackling the next game, dusting ourselves down and keep sticking to the process."

  9. 'I've been ready all season'published at 16:29 British Summer Time 21 April

FT: Manchester City 5-0 West Ham

    Manchester City

Manchester City goalscorer Jess Park speaking to the BBC: "I am buzzing but the girls did it all for me and made it easy to score! I have been working hard in training and I'm on a spell of good luck.

"I have been waiting on the sidelines but I've been ready all season. Now I've had my opportunity it's not running out. I feel comfortable in my position. Our wingers work so hard and that energy spurs you on to press and win the ball back.

"For my goal I just thought drive, drive as fast as I can. It opened up in the middle and I slotted it in. I have always assisted goals but not scored too often and I had to work on that."

  11. City hit the front once againpublished at 16:26 British Summer Time 21 April

FT: Manchester City 5-0 West Ham

Here's how the top of the table looks after this afternoon's games.

Manchester City three points and three goals clear of Chelsea at the top, albeit having played a game more.

Arsenal secured the final Champions League place for next season with a win at home to Leicester after Manchester United could only claim a draw against Tottenham earlier on this afternoon.

  12. 'Chelsea have a job to do'published at 16:22 British Summer Time 21 April

FT: Man City 5-0 West Ham

    Fara Williams
Former England midfielder on BBC Red Button

Man City knew if they came here and got a result with a few goals behind them they would take themselves above Chelsea. They are three points and three goals ahead of Chelsea now but Chelsea have that game in hand. Chelsea have a job to do with that game in hand.

  13. Postpublished at 16:20 British Summer Time 21 April

    FT: Arsenal 3-0 Leicester

Leicester City do not like playing in the capital.

The Foxes have lost all 11 of their away games in London in the WSL – failing to score in 10 of those. It is the worst record of any side visiting the city.

  14. 'Man City controlled the game'published at 16:18 British Summer Time 21 April

FT: Man City 5-0 West Ham

    Fara Williams
Former England midfielder on BBC Red Button

They were professional today, they controlled the game. They went through the tempo when they needed to. West Ham hit the woodwork a few times but that's because City took their foot off the pedal a bit. Another clean sheet and I'm sure they will be just as pleased in doing that as the five goals scored.

  15. Palace in touching distance of WSLpublished at 16:15 British Summer Time 21 April

    FT: Lewes 0-2 Crystal Palace

Some news to bring you from the Women's Championship, where Crystal Palace are on the brink of securing the league title.

Their win at Lewes today leaves Palace three points clear of second-placed Charlton Athletic with one game remaining - and with a +35 goal difference, compared to Charlton's +13.

Palace host third-placed Sunderland on the final day next week, knowing that avoiding defeat would absolutely ensure a place in the WSL for the first time in their history.

Bad news for Lewes though - that defeat consigns them to relegation from the Championship, alongside Watford.

  16. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:14 British Summer Time 21 April

    Manchester City 5-0 West Ham

Domination from start to finish from City as they go clear of Chelsea at the top of the table once again.

Five goals to add to the goal difference too which will please manager Gareth Taylor.

A tough afternoon for West Ham who struggled to get going for some time after that sucker punch opening goal on 23 seconds. A better second half performance but a game to move on from quickly.

  17. Postpublished at 90+6 mins

    Manchester City 5-0 West Ham

Mary Fowler breaks down the right before attempting to cross the ball into the middle. Risa Shimizu is there for West Ham to block the ball out for another corner.

Again the corner is poor and Mackenzie Arnold catches comfortably.

  18. Postpublished at 90+5 mins

    Manchester City 5-0 West Ham

The home side are still pushing forward for another goal deep into added time.

They know that another could be on the cards with West Ham looking out on their feet now. The visitors have had to do so much running in this game.

  19. Postpublished at 90+3 mins

    Manchester City 5-0 West Ham

Chloe Kelly is the latest City player to try their luck on goal.

She breaks beyond the West Ham defence and tries to lob an on-rushing Mackenzie Arnold, but the Australian number one sticks up a big hand to deflect the ball behind.

Laia Alexandri can only head the resulting corner over the bar.

  20. INJURY TIMEpublished at 90+1

    Manchester City 5-0 West Ham

The fourth official indicates an additional eight minutes of stoppage time has been added on.
