Which is the same number as Renault have managed, the first of which was delivered by Jean-Pierre Jabouille in 1980.

  3. Kimi on 'average' lappublished at 17:26 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2016

Despite a crackerjack lap to put him third on tomorrow's grid, Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen was self-critical in the post-race interviews.

"I struggled the whole qualifying," admits the Finn.

"To be honest, the last lap was pretty average but it was enough for third, the Mercedes are bit a too far."

    A familiar refrain...

A cool and calm Lewis Hamilton is speaking to the media post-quali, here are his thoughts:

"Honestly I felt quite comfortable in qualifying as I have all weekend. Nico's been going quicker and quicker but I've generally had it covered.

"This is the best I could have hoped for coming to Brazil. It's always a track I've struggled at so I'm glad to be at the front."

And asked about the prospect of rain tomorrow making the race a lottery: "I don't mind, I'm ready for whatever."
