Antonio Giovinazzi has done one hour practice, come in and gone just two tenths of a second slower than his established team-mate Marcus Ericsson, great job by him.

What a performance by Antonio Giovinazzi. He only climbed into the Sauber this morning and was not far off sneaking into Q2 there. Great effort.

Meanwhile, Kimi Raikkonen bangs in a 1:24.464 to go second and split the Mercedes.

He's not massively happy though, saying on the radio soon afterwards: "The rear is still really bad."

Looks like Stoffel Vandoorne will have enough time to sneak a lap in. Can he get himself out of trouble?

Lance Stroll's first lap is a 1:27.143, which leaves him propping up the timesheet.

On the subject of F1 debutants, Antonio Giovnazzi, who has stepped in for Pascal Wehrlein, is currently 14th following a 1:26.419. He's actually done a better time than his fellow Sauber driver Marcus Ericsson. Impressive!

Max Verstappen locks up at the right-hander at Turn 6, fluffing his attempt to get a time on the board that will see him through to Q2. Plenty of time for the Red Bull driver to go again with six minutes on the clock.

Oh no. Barely halfway through the first part of qualifying and there's an issue for McLaren.

Stoffel Vandoorne is told to box because of a fuel flow problem.
