He's 3.4s clear of Vettel.
"We had some debris in the radiator but it is now clear so you are ready to race. Let's go," Red Bull's engineers tell Daniel Ricciardo...
"Understood," he responds.
"Let's push it mate!"
"A bit of smoke out the back," says Renault's Jolyon Palmer.
Moments later, the Briton is seen touring into the pits.
His team have told him to switch off.
Thus ends a miserable weekend for the Renault man, whose position at the French team has been under huge scrutiny this weekend.

The Sainz-Kvyat tangle, such as it was, will not be investigated.

Hamilton is asking where Valtteri Bottas is, but not for the caring reason we think! He is wondering where his rear gunner is! He is now thinking "who is going to protect me from Sebastian Vettel?!"
Valtteri Bottas is 20th and last, a lap down after that early stop for a new nose.

The Raikkonen-Bottas tangle has really played into Sebastian Vettel's hands, who runs second after starting fourth. He's around two second behind leader Lewis Hamilton.

There was also a spin for Carlos Sainz in the Toro Rosso on that chaotic opening lap.
He came on the radio to blame team-mate Daniil Kvyat but he seemed to do it all on his own.
"I think I have damage from debris," reports Max Verstappen to his Red Bull team.
Bottas has just come in for that new front wing. It's a long way back for the Finn from here.

Chaos at the front but Hamilton has managed to get away quickly. Bottas has collided with Raikkonen and has picked up a huge amount of damage on the front wing and front right tyre.
Bottas is the big loser on this opening lap. I would say a "racing incident" but you never know...
Bottas and Raikkonen made contact into Turn Two. Both cars took a real whack. It looks like Bottas clipped the kerb on entry and collected Raikkonen as the Ferrari looked to go around the outside.
The Ferrari runs fifth for now. Bottas will need repairs.
