That is much more like it in midfield, it is so close.
Very bunched up in the midfield pack with just eight tenths of a second separating eighth from 18th.
A couple of the drivers who had their qualifying simulation runs scuppered by the red flag are finishing them off now. Stoffel Vandoorne is one of them and he gets himself into the top 10 with 1:25.285.

It is a train of cars now. That red flag has put a bit of pressure on everybody to get out there and make the most of what's left of the session.

He was also on a good lap there.
But the red flag scuppers Daniel Ricciardo's lap.

It certainly looks like Red Bull are in the mix.
Nice from Max Verstappen, very nice! He splits the Mercedes to go second quickest, a 1:24.058 putting him within a tenth of a second of Lewis Hamilton.
Max Verstappen is out on the ultrasofts now.
Meanwhile, second practice is ticking along nicely for McLaren after their exhaust issues in FP1. Fernando Alonso's ultrasoft run has him eighth quickest with 1:25.552 while Stoffel Vandoorne is 13th quickest (1:25.997).
Still nothing from the Red Bulls yet. Both Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen are yet to venture out on the ultrasofts in this session.
Valtteri Bottas goes second quickest with 1:24.159 but he lost a chunk of time with a big slide coming out of Turn 12.

Hello. Sebastian Vettel may not be looking comfortable, but Kimi Raikkonen is! He goes quickest of all with 1:24.314.
