Ferrari have left it late, very late, but they've managed to get Charles Leclerc out on track.

Dale Foster: I can’t help thinking that the first few corners of the season in Melbourne will be very interesting. I'm expecting some newcomers to the front of the grid with Gasly and Leclerc expected to be up the front, both more experienced in the midfield wheel banging!
Carlos Sainz, the fastest man of the day, is out looking to see if he can go even quicker.

Another late mover is Kimi Raikkonen, jumping up to fourth with an effort of 1:18.209 in his 109th lap of the day.
And then, from nowhere, Sergio Perez zooms up to second. He had been ninth and nowhere exciting, but a 1:17.842 is a fantastic flourish late on. Well played sir, well played.
We hoped for someone to throw on the softest tyres possible and see what they can do right at the end. Seems like Haas are going to do just that.

Keynote Dude: The best thing about this week so far has been Williams' reliability. Whether or not they're the fastest, that car hasn't had any big problems and that delights me given last week's commotion.

Luke Marshall: It’s funny how we’re constantly reminded not to read too much into testing lap times/performance etc but how everyone gets carried away when McLaren do something positively noteworthy (myself included)
