Lance Stroll and Pierre Gasly go wheel-to-wheel. Always dramatic, under the lights even more so. Gasly was the man behind, but elbows his way through for 11th. Hulkenberg then takes Stroll too.

Gavin Button: Can someone work out how many Laps we have had under the safety car as a result of each driver? I imagine Grosjean would be streets ahead.

The safety car is ending. Everyone at Ferrari will be hoping that Leclerc and Vettel do not do exactly as Craig predicts and smash into each other.

Vettel leads from team-mate Leclerc #bbcf1

Craig Thompson: Leclerc and Vettel will take each other out

Kristine Kirby: Leclerc won't shut UP on his radio, toys out of pram on radio, furious at the strategy that ALL ISN'T GOING HIS WAY! Welcome to the real F1 show Leclerc. Bit like you didn't reciprocate on the Monza tow, hurts a bit, doesn't it? He is really yammering on.

  9. Radio message - to Leclercpublished at 14:28 British Summer Time 22 September 2019

"Charles that was one of the best things we could do. Head down, the race is long, let's concentrate on the safety car you are doing a super job."

Leclerc: "My head is down and it will be down until the end of the race, I just wanted to let you know my feeling.

"i really don't understand that undercut - but let's talk after the race."

Still the safety car as they collect Russell's Williams from the wall. This is how it stands.

A slow burner at the start, but we have 22 laps of craziness to come. Vettel, Leclerc, Verstappen, Hamilton, who wins?

After losing the lead thanks to being undercut by his own team to give Ferrari the lead, you can't expect Leclerc will be too happy if Ferrari try to get him in blocker mode.

Giovinazzi, Ricciardo and Gasly will be wishing that safety car had happened about five laps earlier, before they had all come into the pits. Now they are 15th, 16th and 12th respectively.

Giovinazzi and Ricciardo are still in it despite both suffering damage when they bumped.

Philip West: Yet another brainless piece of driving from Grosjean. How this moron still has a race seat in F1, I do not know. One of the worst drivers I have ever, ever seen.

Daniel Ricciardo is pretty much out of the grand prix he will struggle to get anything out of this now. After such a fun aggressive race. He's now dropping all the way down the order.

Giovinazzi is falling backwards, his race is done.

The young Brit is side by side with Romain Grosjean and he then goes into the wall, maybe helped there by the Frenchman. This is going to be the first time Russell has not finished a race this season.
