LH: "Is that Ferrari still behind us?"
Engineer: "Yes, the field is yet to compress, pretty much everyone took the safety car pit."

Some pit lane shambles from alfa Romeo. The jack gets stuck under Kimi Raikkonen's car. A mechanic, using all of their strength as well as getting a helping shove from a team-mate finally pulls it clear. The mechanic takes a tumble and Raikkonen is now last by some distance.

We've now lost five. Robert Kubica is the next faller. Not too sure what happened to him, but that's both Williams out.

Why didn't they get Vettel to come round to the pits? I'm astonished. The engine was still going. They wouldn't have needed a VSC and Hamilton wouldn't have pitted.

Alexander Albon started in 20th and from the pits. He got up to fifth and is now on new tyres, he's in 10th but will now be eyeing up a hefty points haul.

Sebastian Vettel springs out the car, he's fine. Lewis Hamilton now pits under the virtual safety car, that's a free pit stop for the title leader.
Mercedes have had a bit of fortune, but it is going down as another shocking afternoon for Ferrari and their strategy.
