Yesterday Hamilton wasn't confident of making it into the top ten at all let alone beat a Ferrari.

It's an impressive recovery from Lewis Hamilton, but what a disappointing afternoon for Charles Leclerc.

Hamilton has joined the party. I think he can hassle Leclerc - he is on much fresher tyres.

The fastest time on lap 51 is awarded to Max Verstappen, which will be crucial in the championship fight with his rival Sergio Perez. Coming away from Miami with a possible 26 points after starting ninth would not be a bad day's work for the Dutchman.

It was a nice bit of racing. To be fair to Perez - he gave it a go. Defending pretty hard with Verstappen half a car ahead of him and for a minute I thought they were going to have a collision, but Verstappen has so much grip at his disposal.

Rachel T: Red Bull have clearly, unashamedly, brutally hung Perez out to dry here.

Richard: The Red Bulls are so fast everyone else may as well be in GP2. After today I can't see any other team remotely challenging this year. Not a great race at the Miami GP

The resistance is broken. Max Verstappen gets the job on his Red Bull team-mate and the Dutchman is also home and dry in south Florida.

Sergio Perez is probably going to be helpless now to stop Max Verstappen hunting him down like they are wild animals in the jungle.

Perez is defending with everything he has got and manages to swat away the world champion after a few corners of fighting.

It is safe [pit-stop] from red Bull - but it is not rapid, but there are cheers from the crowd as the two Red Bulls emerge. If that pitstop had been any quicker - they would have been side by side!

I hate to say it - but the writing is on the wall for Perez. Verstappen is hounding him.
