Richard Cassidy: Another great win for Verstappen and a huge step forward for Hamilton and Mercedes. Can't wait to see Max getting challenged later in season. We know he doesn't always cope well under pressure so could be fireworks!
It's a Grand Slam performance by Max Verstappen in Spain. The Dutchman was quickest in every practice session, took pole position on Saturday, led every lap of the race today, finished on the top step of the podium and was awarded the extra point for fastest lap.

Former Mercedes driver and world champion Nico Rosberg is doing the post-race interviews. Lewis Hamilton is at the microphone now. Get these two in a room for a proper in-depth chat one day.
Sergio Perez has to settle for fourth place but considering he started P11 after a rubbish qualifying on Saturday, that will do for the Mexican. Carlos Sainz, after starting on the front row at his home grand prix, ends the day in sunny Barcelona in fifth place.

We will look back on these days and say Max Verstappen was one of the all time greats. They are executing perfectly. That was a masterclass.
A great result for Mercedes and the upgrades have paid off.
Lewis Hamilton finishes second behind Max Verstappen and George Russell holds off the attack of Sergio Perez to make it a double podium in Spain for the Silver Arrows.
"Mega job!!" says Hamilton on the team radio. "Awesome drive by George."
All over in Barcelona.
Max Verstappen wins the Spanish Grand Prix for Red Bull!
The two-time world champion was in a class of his own once again.
Lap 66/66
Max Verstappen is being cheered on by the Spanish crowd. The Dutchman is on his way to completing his fifth win of the 2023 season...

All twenty drivers are still on the track. I think has been enough to say that the circuit changes have been a positive change, a mixture of tyre strategies that does bring the race alive at different stages in the circuit. The Spanish fans will be disappointed not to see one of their men in more prominent positions, but both have had a disappointing Grand Prix.
Lap 65/66
Around the final corner the drivers go and 11th-placed Pierre Gasly stays ahead of Charles Leclerc in P12.
Lap 64/66
Behind the frontrunners, Charles Leclerc is trying his best to hunt down his best mate Pierre Gasly in the Alpine. He tries a move on the Frenchman but Gasly has it covered. Leclerc might have to settle for 12th place in Barcelona.
Lap 64/66
Is the moment for Sergio Perez? Laps are running out for the Mexican to swipe the last spot on the podium away from the upgraded Mercedes of George Russell.
Verstappen, meanwhile, now has a 20-second lead at the front of the field.
Lap 63/66
Max Verstappen has the purple fastest stopwatch next to his name but his engineer tells him to drive the rest of his race within the white lines, please.
Harry Benjamin
BBC F1 Commentator
It just goes to show how much Verstappen wants this. He is lighting up the sectors and I wonder if we will get a team radio telling him to please slow down.
Lap 62/66
Top five as we head towards the conclusion of this Spanish Grand Prix is Max Verstappen, Lewis Hamilton, George Russell, Sergio Perez and Carlos Sainz.

Matthew Murnaghan: I feel like the next upgrade that the teams should do is have a floor like Verstappen's because this is a complete runaway.
Tony Driver: Does the lack of mechanical retirements in F1 prove that the cars are not being pushed to their limit?
