Martyn Lewis: My son played in the FA People's Cup on Firday in Slough, Berkshire in the Boys Under-14s category.
Had a great time and played for the Boyne Hill Bisons (great name!)
Unfortunately they had a W1 D1 L3 record so didn’t get to the semis. Good job FA People's Cup!

Crawley Old Girls only started playing football in April 2015 when Carol Bates (she's taking the selfie on the bus), set up the team with the help of the Crawley Town Community Foundation., external
The club started with 10 women who had never played before. They decided to enter the team into the women's veteran category in the 2016 FA People's Cup just to have fun.
"There was so much excitement and a few nerves," remembers Carol. "The FA People's Cup had an amazing impact on everyone who played in it."
