The crowd of 6,104 - most of them - heading home happy after a hard-fought victory for the Giants. Great game of hockey, highly entertaining and the Steelers fans adding to a great occasion.

Overall the Giants just shaded it but the Steelers, after coming from two goals down and with momentum on their side will be disappointed, to concede a go ahead goal that was preventable and then two late penalties when they were trying to tie the game cost them any chance.

It was a much needed two points against a title rival for the Giants and in Scott Conway they have a player who seems to play his beat in the big games.

The big winners tonight - Guildford who beat Glasgow 5-1 and increased their lead over Sheffield to five points but the Giants are only a further point behind now in third.
