Exciting game for the fans and a big two points for the Giants after losing both games last weekend.
They dominated the game even-strength outshooting the Panthers 37-23 but the penalties got them in trouble and credit to Nottingham, they kept themselves in the game by taking advantage.
With bodies back in the line-up from injury the Giants will hope this may be the start of a resurgence.
The Panthers will look forward to getting back home. They have games in hand in what is turning out to be a very tightly pack Elite League standings.
The Giants will travel to Coventry on Saturday night while the Panthers will follow them into the Sky Dome on Sunday.
