  8. Antrim will be 'very defensive'published at 16:07 British Summer Time 21 May 2017

    Donegal v Antrim (16:15 BST)

    Sean Kelly
    Ex-Antrim footballer

    Quote Message

Antrim are going to be very defensive and they can be quite effective defensively but I think they are going to have a problem in breaking from their own 45 to Donegal territory. I'm not sure Antrim's forwards have the physicality to match Donegal's defenders.

  10. Antrim stun Donegal in minor gamepublished at 16:02 British Summer Time 21 May 2017

Folks, Antrim have beaten Donegal. Granted it's the minor game but it's still a great start to the afternoon for the Saffrons. The final score was Donegal 2-14 0-21 Antrim. That's a shock scoreline.

  11. Donegal will win comfortably says McHughpublished at 15:55 British Summer Time 21 May 2017

    Donegal v Antrim (16:15 BST)

    Martin McHugh
    BBC pundit

    Quote Message

I've always said Antrim produce as good a footballer as anywhere else in the country but looking at how they went in the league, I expect Donegal to win comfortably. Donegal lost seven experienced players, but it was time. There is a lot of hype about the Under-21s but the future is bright for them.

  17. Young Saffrons face huge Ballybofey testpublished at 15:20 British Summer Time 21 May 2017

    Donegal v Antrim (16:00 BST)

After Monaghan's ultimately comfortable nine-point win over Fermanagh on Saturday night, the Ulster Championship roadshow moves quickly on to Ballybofey with Donegal expected to put a young Antrim side to the sword.

There's no getting away from it. Logic suggests this is going to be a total mismatch as Rory Gallagher's rejuvenated home side take on an Antrim that suffered relegation back to Division Four in the Spring.

Antrim joint-managers Frank Fitzsimons and Gearoid Adams hand championship debuts to an amazing EIGHT of their starting line-up with eight of the Saffron bench also not having sampled summer inter-county football before.

So it surely has to be Donegal but you could argue that there is absolutely no pressure on this Antrim side so maybe the young Saffrons will play without fear.

    Enjoy the ride.
