That wraps up a busy day of GAA action with Tailteann Cup, hurling finals and a big Ulster derby in the All-Ireland series between Tyrone and Armagh.

It may not rank among their best encounters, but Tyrone won't care one bit as they secured the win they needed.

Tyrone really needed that win. They'll come up against Westmeath in their third game with Armagh facing Galway in a rerun of that epic All-Ireland quarter-final from last year.

Galway beat Westmeath earlier to move onto four points so the Tribesmen are in control of the group.

That's it! Tyrone claim an important win over arch-rivals Armagh in the second round of the All-Ireland round-robin series.

Armagh's cause wasn't helped by Rian O'Neill's first-half red card, and while they showed impressive character to stay in the game, Tyrone simply had too much in the end.

It leaves both counties on two points after two games.

Oisin Conaty pops over the bar from the '45 but with just seconds left, surely they needed to go for the goal?!

Wow! Niall Morgan slips and nearly gifts a goal to Armagh, but Michael McKernan manages to get back and poke the ball behind for a '45 before Oisin Conaty could fire the ball towards the unguarded goal.

That came from absolutely nowhere!

Tyrone are keeping the ball well and running down the clock.

This may be Armagh's race run.

Jason Duffy wins a free for Armagh. They're four behind with four minutes left but Rory Grugan takes his score.

Three in it.

Cormac Quinn hammers a shot off the post! It may have been a fingertip save by Ethan Rafferty - if it was, it was a cracking save.

That could've been the game right there, but luckily for Tyrone Darragh Canavan picks up the pieces and slots over.

There will be seven additional minutes at Healy Park.

Still plenty of time for Armagh, who've shown a lot of fight to stay in the game after Rian O'Neill's first-half red card.

Rory Grugan thumps a great score over and Armagh are back to within three.

That came shortly after Niall Morgan did well to claim a high ball under pressure from a host of Armagh players, including their goalkeeper Ethan Rafferty - we're used to seeing him up the field but not that far!

Tyrone really needed that!

Darragh Canavan rides a tackle and picks off a wonderful score.

He throws his fists into the air - he knows that was a big score for Tyrone.

Those two scores have sparked Armagh back into life! Suddenly they're hunting the Tyrone players down and it's resulting in turnovers and frees, the latest of which is drilled over by Conor Turbitt.

All of sudden, Armagh are only three points behind.

Do they have a big push in them for the last eight minutes?

A Tyrone player picks the ball off the ground and it allows Rory Grugan to score an easy free in front of the goal.

Then from the kick-out, Armagh steal possession and Oisin Conaty strokes it over the bar.

A bit casual from Tyrone. Can't afford to start playing like that.

Conor Turbitt does well to make space but kicks Armagh's 11th wide of the evening.

He looks pretty disconsolate - as do a few of the Armagh players.

Armagh appear to be sapping in the heat out there a bit.

Armagh are inviting the pressure and Tyrone are obliging, with Michael O'Neill winning a free off Greg McCabe.

Darren McCurry goes short to Conor Meyler, who pops it over unchallenged.

Ah that's brilliant from Michael McKernan, who shrugs off Andrew Murnin and lands a beauty.

Tyrone are five clear and it looks a long way back for Armagh at the moment.

That just about sums up Armagh's night so far. With Rian O'Neill off the field, Conor Turbitt completely miskicks a free and that's a big chance gone.

Then it's substitute Shane McPartlan's turn to fire wide. Armagh can't afford to pass up these opportunities.

After that stoppage, the play resumes with a close-range free for Darren McCurry, who duly converts for his fifth point of the evening and Tyrone's first since the restart.

Back to a four-point game.

It's Tyrone's turn to keep the ball for an extended spell but the play is stopped following an accidental collision between Brian Kennedy and Jarly Og Burns.
