    Glen 0-0 St Brigid's 0-0

We've had the anthem, now it's show-time in Croke Park as the 2024 All-Ireland club final gets underway in the Dublin wind and rain.

Brendan Cawley is the referee, but we hope we don't have to mention him too often.

  5. Warnock expects nerves as Glen's second chance arrivespublished at 15:29 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    Glen v St. Brigid's (15:30 GMT)

Nerves are sport's inescapable force. Always there, always referenced, they are often decisive, whether it's forcing a golfer to miss a four-foot putt on the 18th green, or a footballer to send a penalty high into the stands.

For Gaelic footballers, few things can conjure butterflies quite like Croke Park on All-Ireland final day.

So many of them don't get to experience it. Some of them conquer the nerves, others succumb to them.

Michael Warnock is like any of his peers. Prior to throw-in, his stomach is doing somersaults and he's a bit jumpier than normal.

We are expecting St Brigid's to look a bit different to how they are named in the programme.

Robbie Dolan will shift from the half-forward line to right half-back, with Ruaidhri Fallon swapping to left half-back. Bobby Nugent will take Dolan's place at left half-forward.

Fallon's switch will see Paul McGrath move up to centre forward and Ciaran Sugrue to left corner-forward.

Luke Griselain was named to start at right corner-back, but he is replaced by Alan Daly.

    Glen v St Brigid's (15:30 GMT)

Glen manager Malachy O'Rourke says it will take "a massive effort" from his side to overcome St Brigid's in the All-Ireland Club Football final.

The Derry champions will aim to go one better than last year when they face the Roscommon outfit at Croke Park.

"We have to refocus and make sure we put in a really good performance," said O'Rourke ahead of Sunday's decider.

"It's a 50-50 game and what we have done in the past is no good to us now. We have great faith in the boys."

There had been doubts over Glen full-back Ryan Dougan and forward Jack Doherty's fitness ahead of today. Glen said they were "hopeful" the pair would start and they are indeed named to start.

If there are any last-minute changes, we will keep you posted, with Jody McDermott and Tiarnan Flanagan both possible late inclusions.

Ciaran McFaul is the only player in the Glen team who did not feature in last year's final. He has been outstanding for the Maghera club since his return from the United States.

  16. 'Conditions again a factor'published at 15:09 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    Glen v St Brigid's (15:30 GMT)

    Matt Gault
BBC Sport NI at Croke Park

Glen had to battle the fog in Newry. They now must come through the horrible wind and rain in Dublin if they are to complete this rollercoaster of a journey and become All-Ireland champions for the first time.

Unlike last year, which ended in such contentious circumstances of course, Glen go into today's deciders as favourites in most people's eyes.

That means little, especially when you factor in the conditions. But it's hard to view this than anything other than a massive opportunity to scale new heights and become just the fourth Derry team to win club football's biggest prize.

    Glen v St Brigid's (15:30 GMT)

Here's a still of video footage from last year's final which shows that Kilmacud Crokes had 16 players defending their goal in the closing seconds of the game.

Glen were chasing a last-gasp winning goal against the massed Crokes defence. They did lodge an appeal but the result stood.

    Kilmacud Crokes 1-11 Glen 1-9 (January 2023)

Glen supporters will no doubt not want to be reminded of last year's All-Ireland club final - but here are the highlights of it for anyone who wants to see them.

Glen fell agonisingly short in their quest for a first title as Kilmacud Crokes won a gripping final 1-11 to 1-9 at Croke Park.

There was controversy, of course, with video showing that the Dublin side had 16 players on the pitch as they defended at the end of the match while Glen chased a last-gasp winning goal.

  19. Glen's second shot at All-Ireland glorypublished at 14:57 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    Glen v St Brigid's (15:30 GMT)

Did someone say All-Ireland club final?

All eyes will be on Croke Park this afternoon.

Will it be a day of redemption for Glen after being edged out by Kimacud Crokes in last year's decider?

The Derry men have bounced back from that controversial defeat by securing another Ulster title and then beating Crokes by a point in the semi-final three weeks ago.

Now they return to Croke Park with another chance to savour an Andy Merrigan Cup triumph.

Standing in the way of Malachy O'Rourke's team is St Brigid's of Connacht. And they will provide a stern test for Glen, having overcome five-time All-Ireland winners Corofin in the provincial final before defeating Castlehaven to make this decider.

It promises to be a cracker and we will bring you all the action with live text and live radio commentary, with a match report and reaction to follow.

    Thanks for joining us.
