Women's omnium
Simon Brotherton
BBC commentator in Rio on BBC One
Once again, Laura Trott shows she is masterful on the elimination race. No-one can touch her. She is absolutely flying and she's floated through this event. Up to this point, she looks to be the class of the field.
Women's omnium
Easy. Laura Trott is streets ahead of her rivals, she sprints clear and has time to showboat, saluting the crowd down the home straight.
She ends the first day clear of the pack.
Gold position with three races to go tomorrow.
Women's omnium
Sarah Hammer is gone - so she finishes third in the eliminator.
Women's omnium
Whatever happens now, Laura Trott will be well placed overnight.

Had to come. Alex Danson gets to line, pulls back to Lily Owsley, who fires into an empty net. This one might be as good as done.
Women's omnium
Chris Boardman
Olympic cycling champion on BBC TV
It was a very strong, late dash there by Sarah Hammer. I think she showed her hand a little bit. She's holding something back for that final sprint should she get there. Now it's Laura Trott she's got in her sights.
Women's omnium
And then there were four...
Women's omnium
Sarah Hammer is working hard, she is having to sprint for her life every sprint to salvage herself in the last 10m or so.
Great Britain 2-0 Spain
Chaos after a GB penalty corner, some pinball in the Spanish box. Bodies fly at the ball, somehow it stays out. Spain begging for half-time. Three minutes to go.
Women's omnium
The field is down to six. Laura Trott and Sarah Hammer both still in.
Women's omnium

There's a sprint every 30 seconds. It's brutal.
Great Britain 2-0 Spain
It's all GB in this women's quarter-final, white shirts overwhelming those in red. Infringement, penalty corner to GB, Spanish defender sent for two minutes in the bin.
Women's omnium
Fast and tactically aware. Laura Trott looks safe as houses in this elimination race.
[Cue commentator's curse...]
Men's omnium
Great Britain's Mark Cavendish, the omnium silver medallist on BBC TV: "I'm happy. Elia was the best guy there. If you take the points I lost in the elimination I would've been right with him.
"I have got my Olympic medal. It is really nice, but gold would've finished the collection. I did a pursuit yesterday and was unhappy I didn't break the olympic record, that's just me. People are forgetting the team we have got behind us. It is incredible how they have worked. Without those guys I wouldn't be here."
Will he be competing in Japan in four years time? He replies: "I don't think so, but I said that eight years ago. I will retire at some point, but then I will have a month at home and people will tell me to get back on the bike."
Women's omnium
Sarah Hammer of the US is determined to stay in the front two or three on every lap. Taking no chances. Laura Trott looking serene.
