    Women's basketball final

If the start of the match was a bit slow (from both teams), the USA have come out absolutely flying at the start of the second half. A commanding 66-42 lead with five minutes left in the third quarter. Spain have added just 10 so far.

USA's lowest-points total at these Olympics was 81 in the group stage win over France, a game they still won by 30 points. Fair to say, captain Sue Bird and her team look on course to break the 100-point mark.

Bianca Walkden plays a TV replay card - which is very formally presented by the referee.

Walkden reckons she made contact with Milica Mandic's head but the big X sign from the hands of the TV official says that she didn't.

The Briton still leads 1-0 after round two - one round to go.

Good to see Lutalo Muhammad smiling. The Briton may have missed out on gold by one second last night, but he is an Olympic silver medallist. A fantastic achievement.

GB's Bianca Walkden looks defensive but then lands a body kick with seconds of the first round to go and leads 1-0.

Mahama Cho gets it at the death, with five seconds remaining he connects with a left-foot kick.

It looked destined to go the distance after almost two minutes of two blokes going nowhere near each other.

The rain continues to fall at the Deodoro Stadium, and so do the riders - one Russian competitor takes two heavy tumbles as his horse refuses fences, but he brushes himself off with a smile and both horse and rider appear OK.

Britain's Jamie Cooke makes it round unscathed, picking up a few time penalties as he sensibly plays it safe. Team-mate Joe Choong, third overall, will be up soon.
