    Huddersfield 0-2 Catalans

Kenny Edwards steals possession for Catalans and gallops on his way towards the try-line and tries to offload the ball.

Unfortunately he throws it right into touch and Huddersfield are given another let off.

    Huddersfield 0-2 Catalans

Huddersfield full-back Jake Mamo is the latest player to come off and receive treatment, this time with a knee injury.

On the touchline, Catalans' Greg Bird is patched up with a big bandage round his head and he comes back onto the field.

It's not been a showpiece first half in all honesty.

Referee Gareth Hewer has sent Danny Brough for a 10-minute sit in the stands for that incident as he shows the yellow card.

A few boos ring around after the decision is made but television replays show it might be a justifiable decision.

    Huddersfield 0-2 Catalans

Kenny Edwards is brought down by Danny Brough, pretty much by wrestling him down to the ground by the neck.

The game is halted as the Catalans back-rower receives treatment.

    Huddersfield 0-2 Catalans

It's a humid 20 degrees in Huddersfield tonight. Will the weather play into Catalans' hands this evening?

We're midway through the first half and both sides are yet to register a try.

  7. Postpublished at 19 mins

    Huddersfield 0-2 Catalans

Jodie Broughton picks up a loose ball as Catalans break towards the try-line, but he can't work a way through a resilient Huddersfield defence.

They regroup and get agonisingly close to touching down under the posts but Kenny Edwards looks to have been brought down before he can cross the line.

Huddersfield win back possession, though. A let off for the visitors after a spell of Catalans pressure.

    Huddersfield 0-2 Catalans

A fair bit of bloodshed now as Greg Bird is walked off the pitch following a challenge as Huddersfield pressed up the pitch.

That was nasty. The medics will have a job to bandage him up.

  9. Postpublished at 14 mins

    Huddersfield 0-2 Catalans

Jermaine McGillvary has just shrugged off an enormous tackle by Mika Simon and I mean it was truly massive.

There was an audible 'oooh!' from the fans in attendance and replays show it was a robust tackle indeed as McGillvary tried to gain territory.

But the big man took it on the chin and fair play, that would have done many a player in!

  10. Postpublished at 10 mins

    Huddersfield 0-2 Catalans

Huddersfield's Darnell McIntosh goes on a galloping solo run before he's finally brought down by Lewis Tierney.

That was a try-saving tackle by the Catalans man.

    Huddersfield 0-2 Catalans

Catalans have won a penalty in controversial circumstances as Alex Mellor put a swinging arm in on Tony Gigot which draws the ire of the crowd at the John Smith's Stadium.

Television replays show there wasn't a great amount in it and the home crowd are inclined to agree.

  12. PENALTY (Drinkwater)published at 6 mins

    Huddersfield 0-2 Catalans

Confusingly, both sides tonight are playing in their away kits and Catalans is similar in colours to Huddersfield's home kit!

Meanwhile, Josh Drinkwater kicks a penalty goal to put the visitors into the lead.
