It has been all GB in the second period.

They are working patiently, looking for those rays of light in the Tonga backline.

Gareth Widdops darts left and right before nearly having his head chopped off his shoulders by a high Andrew Fifita tackle.

Six more tackles to come, the Lions HAVE to score from here.

The Lions are working the combinations much better in this second half.

Gareth Widdop and Josh Hodgson exchanging passes, but Josh Jones knocks it on while playing the ball and another changes goes begging.

Jones looks bemused, but it was very scruffy from the Salford player who is joining Hull FC next season.

The Lions shift the ball well and it is a decent kick from Gareth Widdop into the corner.

Oliver Gildart is competing for it with David Fusitu'a, but the Tonga winger pats the ball down to avert the danger.

Brilliant defending that, a try saver.

Oh dear. Poor, poor kicking again from the Lions.

Lachlan Coote's boot this time is straight down the throat of Tesi Niu.

So, where do the Lions need to improve in the second half?

Well, like Denis Betts mentioned, they need to get the ball more to Jackson Hastings, he has barely featured so far.

The kicking game has to get better as well.

Over the course of 80 minutes, if you do all of your heavy lifting in the first half, it's going to work against you in the second half.

With about five minutes to go in the half, Great Britain had made over 200 tackles and Tonga had made about 120.

I'm hurting just watching some of those hits again on the replay.

It was brutal. We worried for them (Tonga) when they made a poor start with the kick-off (going out on the full), but they came out firing with and without the ball, trampling over people and leaving them on the ground. They were relentless.

It was a bit of rope-or-dope. If Great Britain could have scored first, it could have been a different half.

Not over-egging it, but that is one of THE great tries from Tonga.

Reminded me of the "Wide to West, it goes wide to West", for St Helens v Bradford all those years ago.

The hooter sounds but Tonga run it, the crowd are cheering them on.

Three, four offloads. Five and Michael Jennings kicks it through...

Sione Katoa darts through and dives on it just before it rolls out of play.

WHAT A TRY!! That is magnificent form Tonga, they kept it alive, did not give up on it and score a sensational effort in the corner.

And Sio Siua Taukeiaho from the touchline, pops over the conversion. Stunning stuff.
