    Until then.

Great Britain Lions skipper James Graham: "We made a few errors early doors and they completed well. We had our backs against the wall and if we played like we did in second half in the first we could have done better.

"The squad has been tested with injuries but no-one has complained. We were confident coming in and all of the lads can be proud."

Their application in defence has been good but I don't think they've improved.

There have been challenges in personnel and there's a big question mark over the structure of the squad. That needs looking at, especially if you're going on tour. You need to get that right.

New Zealand captain Benji Marshall: "So proud. We do not get enough games at home, the support from the Christchurch people and the players put in a lot of effort and we got the result.

"In the Australia game, our defence was not good enough but the leaders stood up today. Shaun Johnson's performance was enormous after missing out last week.

"When you wear this jumper, you know people are going to do their jobs. Is it special and there is a lot to look forward to.

Asked if he will play for NZ again: "I have not really thought about it, it could be my last."

RichM: Waited all these years for Great Britain and this is the best we come up with. You can keep it, gone are the days of Peacock, Morley et al showing pride in the shirt. Bennett has to go, he just wants Aussies or NRL-based players in the team, is clueless.

Eric: Getting up early on a Saturday morning to watch this travesty is one thing, I feel very sorry for the people who paid thousands of pounds to travel from GB to be subjected to this disaster of a tour.

Oh my days, embarrassing stuff now from the tourists.

Finally Jackson Hastings gets a kick right, towards Blake Austin but the Warrington man cannot gather and it runs out of play.

There was no NZ player within a mile of him.

A three-score game now and, with the way the Kiwis have defended, I don't think they're going to let this one go.

Never looked like scoring from that set, to be honest.

Into the final 10 minutes, the Lions need three scores to keep their tour alive.

Very rigid from GB, catch and run, no creativity and in the end Gareth Widdop's grubber is poor.
