It’s fair to describe Great Britain’s return to the international stage after a 12-year absence as “disappointing”. Three games so far, three defeats.

Today’s match against Papua New Guinea is the final opportunity for Wayne Bennett’s side to register a win on their tour.

Join us for live coverage on BBC Two and the BBC Sport website from 07:00 GMT.

  2. try

TRY: PNG 10-6 Englandpublished at 24 mins

    Belinda Gwassumum, Erswin Kaiat goal

There's no stopping the hosts again - this time it's more than just brute force to get them over the line.

The forwards do the hard work, but then the ball is worked quickly through the hands to the left side of the field and centre Belinda Gwassumum goes over in the corner.

A tremendous kick from Erswin Kaiat, too! PNG go four points clear.

In the meantime, it looks like England captain Emily Rudge has made a complaint against PNG's Carol Humeu about an alleged bite. "It'll be dealt with after the game," says the referee.

    PNG 4-6 England

Stunning play from Papua New Guinea, who look full of confidence now.

Elsie Albert's powerful run near her own try line sets the hosts on the front foot, then there are a couple of sensational offloads and passes to get PNG within 20 metres.

England are relieved to see Lila Malabag knock on.

We've got a game on here.

  4. try

TRY: PNG 4-6 Englandpublished at 16 mins

    Carol Humeu

The home crowd go wild, as do the PNG players, as Carol Humeu scores the hosts' first try!

"Unstoppable" says the commentator and, as she powers over from close range, it's difficult to argue. Far too strong for the England defensive line.

The kick from the touchline falls short and hits the lower part of the upright, so the Orchids still trail by two points.

  5. PENALTY: PNG 0-6 Englandpublished at 11 mins

    Tara-Jane Stanley

A huge hit from Elsie Albert on England prop Dannielle Anderson!

Somehow after that, England build some forward momentum and get themselves a penalty 30 metres out. A chance for Tara-Jane Stanley to add another two to the lead...

Which she does. England 6-0 up.

PNG, helped by some strong running from captain Elsie Albert, get to within a few metres of the England line with their first attacking set of six - but England keep them out.

TRY: PNG 0-4 Englandpublished at 2 mins

    Tara-Jane Stanley

    The perfect start for England!

Rhiannion Marshall's break from midfield sets it up, and after the ball is worked to the left side, Tara-Jane Stanley finishes it off.

The kick for the extra two is missed, though, following the pattern of last week's win. England scored six tries but failed to convert any of them.

  16. How to get into rugby leaguepublished at 15:52 Greenwich Mean Time 14 November 2019

Rugby league involves great strength, stamina and skill, and is played through the summer - so no muddy pitches, or cold, wet training nights!

There is no difference between the women’s and men’s versions, it’s just as energetic and physically demanding, so expect tough training sessions and even tougher matches!

There are currently more than 30 community clubs that have developed female sections and an increasing number of under 16s now taking part.

Find your local club by using the Rugby Football League's (RFL) Club Locator, external or, in England, you can also visit the Women's Rugby League competition site., external
