Fiji player of the match Sunia Turuva: "There were some nervy moments. Scotland made us fight to the death and it got a bit fiery. But just two sides going out to play for their country.

"We spoke in the week about Scotland's challenge, we knew we couldn't take our foot off the throat.

"It's a big task ahead of us, New Zealand are a good team with quality all over the park. We need to bring our best game.

"There are big teams ahead so to compete with them we need to be at our best."

Fiji need to be better. Execution wise they were lacking and when it got physical they did not handle that well. If they think the big nations aren't going to come after them physically they are going to get a shock.

Fiji missed some opportunities tonight but they probably had an eye on next week. If they are not playing New Zealand next I will walk back to Sydney, and swim the ocean part.

I have been disappointed by Scotland at this World Cup but that performance fills me with more confidence and pride. They were never going to win this game but we saw that braveheart spirit in abundance. They competed for 80 minutes.

There's definitely more spirit from Scotland, there was more effort.

But it was poor from Fiji, they could definitely have scored more points if they wanted to.
