    Raecene McGregor

Raecene McGregor's momentum sees her over the line.

She found the gap from about two metres out and smashed her way through.

Oh hang on. Apii Nicholls' gimme of a kick comes off the post and bounces out. There's only two points in it.

Just over halfway through the first half and it's New Zealand's moment right now.

Well it was until a needless fumble gives England a penalty on the halfway line.

    Right girls, time to build.

There were a few hearts in their mouths in the stands at the Community Stadium there.

The atmosphere here has been a little subdued since that New Zealand try, another so soon after would be a disaster for England.

    What's happened here?

New Zealand look certain to score as a grubber finds Mele Hufanga who sets up Katelyn Vaha'akolo on the right sideline.

Her catch to take the ball in is amazing, a proper juggler, but Leah Burke's covering tackle to save England is even better.

That's the end of the set. A very grateful England get the ball back.

Amy Hardcastle has to go lower there in the tackle against somebody that big, but that was a strong carry.

    Mele Hufanga

Just when you think New Zealand have wasted their chance they come again.

A loose pass looks to have killed the momentum but centre Mele Hufanga picks up the ball and drives over the top of Leah Burke and Amy Hardcastle to bulldoze her way in.

The kick for extras is missed, so England keep their lead.
