  1. Postpublished at 63 mins

    Hull FC 10-4 Wigan

Wigan are beginning to turn the screw but they still don't have much to show for it so far.

Harry Smith puts in a last gasp kick to try and work a way through but Hull do well to deal with the danger again.

  2. Postpublished at 59 mins

    Hull FC 10-4 Wigan

Dom Manfredi, on his Wigan return, makes some ground as they race upfield in their first charge for a good 10 minutes or so.

Can Wigan turn this game in their favour? Jackson Hastings, on the last, puts a grubber kick in towards the onrushing Zak Hardaker, who can't quite work onto the ball in time.

    Almost.

  3. PENALTYpublished at 56 mins

    Hull FC 10-4 Wigan

Deja vu as Wigan once again concede a penalty within kicking range as Joe Shorrocks puts a late challenge in on Josh Reynolds.

Marc Sneyd, a minute or so after he missed his last attempt, gets the chance to make up for it. And he does.

Wigan would only draw level if they score a converted try now.

  4. MISSED PENALTYpublished at 54 mins

    Hull FC 10-4 Wigan

Hull win a penalty as Liam Farrell puts a nudge in as they try to claim a high kick, which Bevan French ends up catching.

Bit clumsy but Farrell's surely entitled to defend that. Referee Robert Hicks disagrees.

Marc Sneyd misses the two and that's a let off for Wigan.

    Hull FC 8-4 Wigan

Playing Zak Hardaker at full-back has neutralised the talismanic Bevan French, who's on the wing for Wigan today.

He's yet to make a big impact in this game, but has just collected a corker of a long-field kick by Hull.

Still four points in this game, which is lacking chances after the restart.

  6. Postpublished at 50 mins

    Hull FC 8-4 Wigan

Bit of a quiet period we're going through at the beginning of this second half. Lacking some excitement.

Wigan put in some great defence on Adam Swift as they pin Hull in their own half on the third tackle.

  7. From slick hands to brute strengthpublished at 47 mins

    Hull 8-4 Wigan

If Jake Bibby's try was slick hands, then Chris Satae's effort was raw power.

It was enough to get Hull on the board and level in the first half.

  8. Bibby puts Wigan in frontpublished at 45 mins

    Hull 8-4 Wigan

It took something special to open Hull's dogged defence up in that first-half, and that was how Wigan got their only try so far from Jake Bibby.

  9. Postpublished at 44 mins

    Hull FC 8-4 Wigan

Hull FC drive to the Wigan line in their first attack of the second half and Wigan just about have the numbers to keep them out.

They attempt to pressure Zak Hardaker as he scoops the ball up inside his own 10 but Wigan do well to deal with it. Just.

  10. Kick-offpublished at 40 mins

    Hull FC 8-4 Wigan

We're back under way at Headingley and the weather hasn't changed but let's hope the game remains highly charged!

  11. The small matter of the semi-final drawpublished at 15:21 British Summer Time 8 May 2021

    HT: Hull FC 8-4 Wigan

A semi-final spot is up for grabs today but 'when is the draw?' I hear you ask.

Well it's live at half-time in today's later tie between Castleford and Salford and it'll take place live on BBC Two and this very page.

Here are the numbers for the draw:

    1) Warrington Wolves

    2) St Helens

    3) Hull FC or Wigan Warriors

    4) Castleford Tigers or Salford Red Devils

  12. Half-timepublished at 15:19 British Summer Time 8 May 2021

    Hull FC 8-4 Wigan

The first half comes to an end at a wet and miserable Headingley but fortunately the game of rugby league we've been treated to is anything but.

A great cup tie and Hull FC lead Wigan by four points at the break and it's all to play for.

  13. Postpublished at 39 mins

    Hull FC 8-4 Wigan

There's a break in play as Hull's Carlos Tuimavave appears to get some treatment on a dislocated finger.

Credit to him, he's quickly bandaged up on the verge of half-time and just gets on with it.

Not sure I'd be quite so stoic but then I do type for a living..

  14. Postpublished at 36 mins

    Hull FC 8-4 Wigan

Blimey. Zak Hardaker's having one of those days. The Wigan back knocks on from a high ball from Hull.

Not often you see that from the Wigan man.

  15. SIN-BINpublished at 35 mins

    Hull FC 8-4 Wigan

A yellow card to Hull's Jack Brown for a dangerous tackle on Joe Shorrocks who's down receiving treatment on halfway.

He's already being held by two Hull players before Brown goes in on his legs, which is reminiscent of Sam Powell's tackle on Josh Griffin earlier.

However, that challenge didn't result in a sin-bin and this did. Interesting.

  16. MISSED PENALTYpublished at 33 mins

    Hull FC 8-4 Wigan

Blimey. Wigan win a penalty pretty much right in front of the posts and not a million miles out.

Zak Hardaker should just place it over with ease but he somehow hits the right-hand post and Hull's four-point lead remains.

  17. Postpublished at 31 mins

    Hull FC 8-4 Wigan

Liam Farrell gets over the line as Wigan try to make their recent pressure count but he's well held up by Hull.

Not put off, Wigan break for the line again on the restart and Harry Smith puts a kick in towards the posts on the last tackle but Hull deal with it.

  18. Postpublished at 30 mins

    Hull FC 8-4 Wigan

Jackson Hastings now tries to pressure Adam Swift into giving up the ball right in his own in-goal area.

However, the post gets in the way before Hastings can exploit any sort of competitive advantage.

Great thinking from the Wigan half-back.

  19. Postpublished at 27 mins

    Hull FC 8-4 Wigan

Jackson Hastings puts in a tremendous long kick in to touch inside Hull's 10 from around halfway and Wigan have made up quite some ground, there.

It's a play-the-ball restart and Hull are camped out in their own half.

Great cup rugby, this. Two teams really going at it.

  20. Postpublished at 23 mins

    Hull FC 8-4 Wigan

There's a stoppage in play as Josh Griffin screams in pain as he's brought down by a crowd of Wigan players on the verge of the Warriors' try-line.

Sam Powell comes in to further bolster Wigan's defence and it looks like Griffin takes some damage to his knee in the process.

Play continues soon after he receives some treatment.
