It promises to be something special, with decorated ex-Wigan star Sam Tomkins now coming up against his former team-mates on the biggest stage.

But the Grand Final is one I'm really looking forward to. Catalans had a run of victories then dropped off. But Wigan put together a really big win to take top spot at the end of the season.

The two most deserving teams have ended up in the Grand Final.

Hull KR's season ends on a brutal note, as they fall short of a fist Super League Grand Final appearance.

They were playing catch-up all day, really.

Defeat also spells the end of Shaun Kenny-Dowall's career.

The former New Zealand international, who excelled in both Super League and Australia's NRL, has been instrumental in establishing the Robins as a genuine force this season.

Wigan started really well and Hull KR started to get back on top but Wigan started really well in the second half and killed the game off.

Wigan have given themselves a good opportunity for the Grand Final by winning the League Leaders' Shield and coming into the game with a big scoreline.

Liam Marshall grabbed himself a memorable semi-final hat-trick, while Jai Field managed a double of his own.

Toby King and Abbas Miski also chipped in with a try each as the Warriors progress to their 12th Super League Grand Final.

Wigan have brushed aside Hull KR to set up a Super League Grand Final date with Catalans Dragons at Old Trafford next week.

Catalans have got the jump on Wigan by about 10 or 15 hours in terms of recovery.

Wigan don't seem to any sort of injuries so they'll be relieved. Wigan knew this game was won from about 30 minutes left and no one's done anything stupid in terms of risking a ban.

Five minutes remain on the clock.

This game has well and truly fizzled out.

Harry Smith goes for a drop goal!

And for the first time he actually misses something with the boot.

Wigan didn't need the extra point there.

You get the feeling that was a practice shot just in case they need a drop goal in next week's Grand Final against Catalans Dragons.

We are into the final 10 minutes now.

Wigan have long had this semi-final victory wrapped up. They will want to get through the remaining nine minutes without any drama.

George King's day is done. He makes his way off the field slowly.

He looks forlorn, but his brother Toby King comes over to give him a quick pat on the back.

That was a nice moment shared between siblings and rivals.

George King is down for Hull KR and looking a little out of it after being clattered by Harvey Hill and Sam Powell.

The medics rush onto the pitch and he slowly gets off the ground.

Hull KR have sight of the try line as they keep the ball alive on the final tackle. Wigan's defence are scrambling to cover.

Somehow, the Warriors regroup and Harry Smith comes up with a tackle on Brad Schneider to force a knock-on.

Wigan let a try go begging!

Jai Field takes the ball just a few metres out, and you would back him to try a little step to burrow over from there.

But rather than go for his hat-trick he scrambles a pass out wide, which drifts forward.

A number of Hull KR players have their hands on their hips, as they are penalised as Toby King has the ball stripped in a tackle.

This sets Wigan up nicely for more points now...

If one moment is going to sum up the afternoon for Hull KR, it has to be this from Brad Schneider.

There isn't even a hint of pressure on him, but he fumbles the pass. The error count is grim for Willie Peters' side.
