Yes, that's right, get ready to see Les Bleus playing in red on the road this year.

The fixtures fall right into Ireland's hands with Italy first up and it's a chance for the players to knock the rustiness out and then [Jonny] Sexton comes back probably after two rounds and then they become a really strong proposition and they are the favourites for the championship, no doubt.

    Former Ireland scrum-half

The Six Nations is an occasion every player wants to be a part of.

Jonathan Sexton is there at outside half. I think he's crucial to Ireland's hopes.

    Ryan Jones
    Former Wales captain

Ireland are very smart in the way they play. We've known they are a very strong team but they have a little bit of creativity now under Joe Schmidt which he has brought in from Leinster when they were at their best. Ireland didn't have that before and it makes them a more complete threat now.

    Adam Jones

Prop Jones thinks the battle up front could be crucial...

Coley [England's Dan Cole] is one of the best loose-heads in the world and the England bench worries me because they have so much impact to come on.

The scrum in the last two years has all been about the referees' interpretations. Two years ago Wales had the rub of the green, in Twickenham last season we didn't.

The game tomorrow night is going to be won in the front row.

Is Matt right? Here's what the stats say about hookers Richard Hibbard and Dylan Hartley.

Or will the battle be won behind the scrum? Who has the advantage there?

If the weather was going to play any factor it should be closed... but it's going to be a nice night tomorrow so it's going to be irrelevant so let's get on with it.

    DiscussionImage source, BBC Sport

On Adam Jones' bow-out from international competition:

I'm absolutely gutted because I still think he's got an awful lot to offer.

And there may be tears from Adam...

"It's a bit strange, I feel a bit detached from it. I'll probably cry tomorrow."

    Adam Jones
Former Wales and British and Irish Lions prop, on his retirement

After his omission from the Wales Six Nations squad and decision to retire from international rugby: "I'm a big fan of Samson Lee and I did my best to push him coming off the bench for Wales, but [coaches] Mr Gatland and Mr McBryde didn't see it that way, so I made the decision in the autumn."

On the tough job that faced England captain Chris Robshaw after defeat in 2013.

"It's difficult for one man to turn around what happened in 2013. Sometimes you have to hold your hands up and say you were a beaten by a better side, but you have to learn and move on and we saw a year later Wales went to Twickenham and lost and that's the sign of a very good team and leader."

Matt Dawson with presenter Ross Harries

Despite saying Wales will be favourites tomorrow - and cheerfully reminding the Mochyn Du crowd of that thumping 2013 Welsh victory - Matt Dawson is still not the most popular figure among the Welsh fans here.

The former England scrum-half was met with pantomime jeers as he is introduced as tonight's presenter on BBC Radio Wales and Five Live.

Momentarily flustered, Dawson had a big cheer as his microphone and headphones briefly fly off his head. The match is still more than 24 hours away but this pocket of Cardiff already seems to be working itself into a frenzy.

    Sir Clive Woodward
    Former England coach

Talking on 5 Live and BBC Radio Wales remembering Wales' 30-3 win in 2013:

"I didn't think a crowd could influence a game until that night ... that blinking Welsh anthem started and the English didn't look confident and I said to Jiffy [Jonathan Davies] I've never heard anything like that in my life. Something amazing happened that night."

The excitement is building! Will anyone be able to sleep tonight?

John Griffiths tweets: "It feels like Christmas Eve #SixNations #scrumv"

Julie Townley adds: "One more sleep #iamwales #6Nations #scrumv"

Tom Guy has channelled his excitement into quoting legendary Welsh singer Max Boyce, who famously described the Millennium Stadium in these lovely words: "They say it's got a sliding roof that they can move away, they slide it back when Wales attack, so God can watch us play! #scrumv"

    Former Wales captain

"It's good to be here to break up this English party.

"Wales v England is such a wonderful fixture for us it's the big brother rivalry we talk about bragging rights and banter, but it's special. This opening night in Cardiff will set the tone for the tournament perfectly."

    Peter Stringer
    Former Ireland scrum-half

The Bath number nine expects Wales to win in Cardiff on Friday night, but doesn't expect Wales or England to eclipse Ireland in the tournament.

"Ireland have proven their form in the autumn internationals and in the coach Joe Schmidt they have a keen tactician and they play to a pattern and do it very well. Once they get past Italy - which I expect them to do - then they'll grown in confidence."

It's nearly time. Wales against England. Just over 24 hours to go until two great foes kick off at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff for the opening game of the 2015 Six Nations!

Can Wales replicate the 30-3 thrashing they dealt Stuart Lancaster's side in 2013? Or will England make it two wins in a row against the Welsh?

Who are the key players? The Millennium Stadium roof will be open - does that give England an advantage?

Can Matt Dawson see into the future?

    RYAN JONES

No Welshman has won more Grand Slams than Ryan Jones, he was in the sides that completed Six Nations clean sweeps in 2005, 2008 and 2012. He also holds the record for captaining Wales - having worn the armband on 33 occasions - a record that is likely to be beaten by Sam Warburton in this season's tournament.

    PHIL VICKERY

World Cup winner and proud Cornishman Vickery played 73 times for England and made five Test match appearances for the British and Irish Lions. A mean prop he is also a whizz in the kitchen, having won the 2011 series of Celebrity Masterchef, beating news presenter Kirsty Wark and actor Nick Pickard in the final.

    MATT DAWSON

Another member of the team which won the 2003 World Cup in Australia, Dawson made 77 England appearances and played in seven Lions Test matches. Another Celebrity Masterchef winner (England would hammer Wales in a cooking contest) Dawson has probably won more editions of Question of Sport than he did rugby internationals - quite a feat when you consider he was part of a very successful England side.
