  1. Travelling happy

So it ended Cardiff Blues 23-31 Ospreys and Dragons 10-29 Scarlets.

West is best was the favourite refrain of the late Llanelli, Wales and British and Irish Lions centre Ray Gravell.

You can argue whether Swansea is actually in west Wales, but the fictional land of Ospreylia is definitely west of Cardiff and the Scarlets are bona-fide West Walians who play in the county of Camarthenshire.

Either way, the coaches and cars travelling back down the M4 will be full of the happier fans after Judgement Day.

  2. Post update

    Gareth Llewellyn

Former Wales captain on BBC Radio Wales

"The Judgement has been that west is best.

"Ospreys secure a semi-final place and Scarlets have their own destiny in their hands as they chase European qualification.

"Fully deserved from the Scarlets, they looked very comfortable ball-in-hand."

  3. FULL-TIME: Dragons 10-29 Scarlets

And that's it. Dragons finish the match in the Scarlets' 22, but concede a penalty and Steve Shingler kicks the ball into touch to bring down the the final curtain on Judgement Day III.

That is an important result for the Scarlets who are in the mix for sixth place and an automatic place in the European Champions' Cup next season.

It lifts them above Connacht and Edinburgh with two matches left to play.

  4. Dragons can't buy a try

A superb flowing move sees Dorian Jones sent over on the left wing, but he drops the ball over the line under pressure from Scarlets flanker James Davies.

  5. Liam Williams man of the match

Former Wales captain Gwyn Jones names Scarlets full-back Liam Williams man of the match.

No argument there - he is a class act.

  6. Try review - Liam Williams

Liam Williams goes for his second try but is robbed by Hallam Amos as he tries to touch the ball down. No try.

  7. Another near thing

Tyler Morgan kicks over the top bug the ball just goes out of play before the impressive Dragons centre can touch the ball down.

Te little things are not going the Dragons' way .

Scarlets fly-half Rhys Priestland is hurt in the move and is replaced by Steven Shingler.

  8. That Ken Owens collision

Ken Owens scores for the Scarlets after colliding with referee

This will certainly be a talking point. We've just received this picture of Scarlets' Ken Owens colliding with ref George Clancy before Owens went over for their first try.

  9. Post update

    Dafydd Pritchard

BBC Wales Sport at the Millennium Stadium

"The sight of white flags being waved at Spanish football matches is a common one - the fans' expression of surrender.

"There hasn't been quite the same sense of resignation among Newport Gwent Dragons supporters at the Millennium Stadium, but a few have thrown some paper aeroplanes towards the pitch.

"Their side are being outplayed by Scarlets, and this might be the Rodney Parade faithful's way of showing they've had enough."

  10. A family business

The arrival of Luke Jones at scrum-half for the Dragons means the Dragons half-backs are both sons of members of the coaching team.

His father is director of rugby Lyn Jones and as we've already mentioned, Dorian Jones is coach Kingsley Jones' boy.

The question is why the sons of two former Wales international flankers are playing half-back?

  11. Get involved via #ScrumV

With nothing controversial happening on the pitch, the conversation has opened up a bit. Here are some of our favourites:

David Evans: Today's attendance over 52,000. Guy behind me says... "Nice that over half a million have attended".

Paul Jones: Paper airplanes currently getting more cheers than rugby.

Owain Thorngate: Liam Williams needs to be in the starting 15 in the world cup, with Halfpenny on the wing. First instinct is to attack.

Rob Prosser: Wynne Evans, Bargoed FC go 23 games unbeaten then you lot turn up and we lose! Always welcome though.

Eek. Sorry about that, Rob. If it's any consolation, we could probably send Wynne Evans to your league rivals, although you've already secured the title.

  12. Close call

And is if to answer the previous point, the Dragons attack brilliantly down the right hand touchline but Tom Prydie's cross-field kick is just a little too strong for the rapidly supporting players and the Scarlets can clear.

The kick was a good idea, but the bounce favoured the defence.

  13. Classy Scarlets

It's difficult to see how the Dragons can get back into this now.

Scarlets are well on top and are able to bring on a Wales international at scrum-half in the shape of Rhodri Williams and a class act like Regan King in the centre.

  15. Record crowd

As expected, the attendance is a record for Judgement Day. There are 52,762 in the ground today - not bad for two domestic matches.

  16. Post update

    Gareth Llewellyn

Former Wales captain on BBC Radio Wales

"That is the bonus point try there for the Scarlets.

"They found the space out wide, Rhys Priestland put the ball over the top and Harry Robinson runs into the corner.

"That is the opportunity that they will keep finding against this Dragons side.

"Unlucky Priestland missing the conversion, the angle was very tight."

  17. Try: Dragons 10-29 Scarlets - Harry Robinson

It's bonus point time for the Scarlets as Rhys Priestland floats a lovely pass to wing Harry Robinson after more pressure from the Scarlets' pack. The pass put Robinson over in the corner which meant Priestland has a difficult conversion which went narrowly wide.

  18. Penalty chance: Dragons 10-24 Scarlets

Referee George Clancy changes his mind after seeing Scarlets flanker James Davies knock the ball on as the Dragons attacked.

He initially gives a scrum but then decides it's a deliberate knock on after watching the replay on the big screens.

Dorian Jones puts the kick wide.

  19. Dragons are under the cosh

Scarlets are in control now, but a mistake at a ruck relieves the pressure on the Dragons.

  20. Get involved via #ScrumV

The rugby is picking up, the tries are flowing, the game is heating up... so of course, you're all obsessed with the Scarlets' jerseys.

Bronwen in Pembroke: Not sure if I'm a fan of the yellow kit for the Scarlets...

Mark in Llanelli: Why, oh why, are Scarlets wearing that awful yellow jersey against a team in black?

Sue in Monmouthshire: Oh dear. Sofa harmony may not be restored. How can I support a team in a garish strip? Scarlets in yellow? Just wrong!

Paul in Pembroke: Why are the Scarlets dressed like lifeguards?

Lifeguards? Perhaps there is an element of Hasselhoff about these kits...

    Yellow kits
  21. Ref in the firing line

S4C have just shown a referee's camera view of Ken Owens' try.

It confirms that an international hooker running at you at pace is a scary sight - no surprise George Clancy did not make the tackle.

  22. Post update

    Nick Webb

    BBC Radio Wales commentator

"The Scarlets could be ending the Dragons' hopes of getting a playoff place.

"But remember - they did come back from a big deficit at home to Leinster a few weeks back."

  23. Post update

    Gareth Llewellyn

Former Wales captain on BBC Radio Wales

"The Dragons are appealing for obstruction, but I don't think there's any obstruction here.

"The Dragons are constantly offside, they need to get behind the line.

"The player couldn't get to him from behind because he was in a supporting role.

"It's a good try for Liam Williams."

  24. Converted try: Dragons 10-24 Scarlets - Liam Williams, con Priestland

It takes two minutes for Liam Williams to underline Scarlets' new-found dominance with a slippery, weaving run from five metres out after a series of Scarlets phases. Another easy conversion fro Priestland and the Dragons - having started so well - are shell-shocked.

That's 21 points for Scarlets in five minutes play either side of half-time.

Liam Williams Judgement Day try for Scarlets
  25. Red hot Scarlets

Scarlets have started the second half at a rate of knots.

  26. They are back out - here we go again

  27. Get involved via #ScrumV

    Ross Harries

BBC Scrum V presenter at the Millennium Stadium

Incredible purple patch from the Scarlets. The game's been turned on its head.

  28. Get involved via #ScrumV

Things were slowing down a bit, weren't they? Fourteen points for the Scarlets in three minutes has turned things around, and twitter is going crazy.

Rhodri in Wales: Scarlets fan here and was 100% a block. Absolute joke!

Julian in Newport: He should have gone to TMO, block by the referee. Dragons won't be happy.

Nigel in Cardiff: Clueless Clancy - integral part of the game, but where's that interpretation in the rules??

Jordan in Llanelli: Poor tackling technique from Clancy!!

The funny thing is, all we saw in the first half was praise for Blues v Ospreys referee Nigel Owens. Looks like there isn't as much love for George Clancy, though...

  29. HALF-TIME: Dragons 10-17 Scarlets

Well, it took off eventually. Scarlets did more damage in the last five minutes than the Dragons managed in the previous 35.

    Class from the two Williamses.

But Mr Clancy's intervention in Ken Owens' try is a real talking point.

Can you award a try if the ball carrier has run into the referee? Apparently you can.

  30. Converted try: Dragons 10-17 Scarlets - Scott Williams, con Priestland

And as the Dragons are still bristling, Liam Williams chips ahead and re-gathers before delivering a superb pass to the rapidly supporting Scott Williams who races over by the posts. Rhys Priestland has an easy conversion.

The watching Wales coach Warren Gatland would have been impressed by that - pure class from two of his Six Nations stars.

  31. Converted try: Dragons 10-10 Scarlets: Ken Ovens, con Priestland

Ken Owens charges through the middle to score between the posts. But he ran into referee Tom Clancy on the way through and the Dragons complain they were impeded. But the try stands and Rhys Priestland converts.

  32. Get involved via #ScrumV

Would it be fair to say things got a little bit heated there? You lot are loving this on twitter.

Sam in Cardiff: Wow.. I've never seen all 30 players fall to their knees gasping for air. What a mad two minutes.

Jack in Newport: Sick few minutes of rugby there.

Anthony in Llanelli: Even more end to end in the 2nd game... better bring on the oxygen!

Chris in Cardiff: Dragons fans all around me. Probably not a good time to say I'm supporting Scarlets!

First Karl was sneakily listening to the Blues on headphones at a wedding, now Chris has infiltrated the opposition. All we need is some one-liners and we'll have a spy movie...

  33. Dragons attack repulsed

Tyler Morgan can hold a short pass from scrum-half Jonathan Evans deep in the Scarlets 22, and Hadleigh Parks hammers the ball miles down field where the retreating Tom Prydie is forced into touch. But the Scarlets can't make the most of the attacking opportunity.

  34. Post update

    Dafydd James

Former Wales and Lions wing on BBC Radio Wales

"It's been interesting, the Dragons set piece has been good and they've won many pens from the scrum, they've done a great job there.

"The Scarlets need to keep hold of possession, they're giving it away far too much. If they can do that they will be fine.

"It's nice to see the Dragons running like they are, right now they're a threat."

  35. End to end stuff

    It's chaos.

Scarlets blow a chance and when Priestland kicks to the corner Tom Prydie takes a quick throw he finds himself put clear by Tyler Morgan.

Prydie's wandering run comes to nothing, but when Scarlets clear the lines Dragons captain Rynard Landman has a charge for the line but is brought down short.

While all that is going on there's a fight underway, but TV replays show nothing.

    That's more like it!!!

  37. Penalty Dragons 10-3 Scarlets - Dorian Jones

Dragons retreat at a scrum but get the decision from Mr Clancy and fly-half Dorian Jones hammers one over from 43 metres.

His father - Dragons head coach Kingsley Jones - will be a happy man.

  38. Normal service resumed

Dragons send a penalty high into the air under the stadium lights but Liam Williams gathers without any trouble. But then the Scarlets give away a scrum.

It took the first game a while to get going, perhaps this one will kick off soon.

  39. Post update

    Gareth Llewellyn

Former Wales captain on BBC Radio Wales

"That's what you want from your outside back.

"There was nothing obvious on, but Hallam Amos runs at backs, gets his offload in and it was simple hands into the corner from Tyler Morgan.

"Morgan's first try of the season, and it's easily converted by Dorian Jones."

  40. Converted try: Dragons 7-3 Scarlets - Tyler Morgan, con Jones

Superb play by the Dragons sees Jack Dixon feed Tyler Morgan who crosses on the left. Was the pass forward? Referee George Clancy doesn't think so and Dorian Jones nails the conversion. Game on!

Tyler Morgan try for the Dragons
  41. Williams drops the ball

There's a collectors' item. Liam Williams drops a high kick with no one anywhere near him.

He can smile about it at least as the Dragons fans give him the bird.

Gareth Llewellyn, former Wales captain says on BBC Radio Wales:

"That was a basic error from Liam Williams.

"He had all the time in the world to get on the ball and he just lets it fall through his arms.

"Very uncharacteristic, and if that had been in Rodney Parade he would have heard it from the fans."

  42. Post update

    Dafydd Pritchard

BBC Wales Sport at the Millennium Stadium

"The overlap between matches at Judgement Day can be a little bit like being at a musical festival.

"Thousands of fans came to the Millennium Stadium to watch Cardiff Blues against Ospreys, much like a large part of any festival crowd will be comprised of supporters of specific bands.

"But it seems the vast majority have stayed to see Newport Gwent Dragons take on Scarlets, perhaps like gig-goers might feel inclined to stay for the next act.

"The attendance at the Millennium Stadium looks to be a good deal more than 50,000 - this will certainly be a record crowd for Judgement Day."

  43. Morgan's return

Dragons centre Tyler Morgan is back after being patched-up. The centrally-contracted player looks none the worse for his blow.

  44. Kicking themselves

Fine play up the middle by the Dragons is wasted as Dorian Jones kicks the ball away in a promising attacking position.

  45. It's still cagey

Liam Williams shows the Dragons that kicking high will be a risky exercise by claiming possession and making ground through two would-tacklers and then Harry Robinson runs into touch on the wide right under pressure from the Dragons' defence.

  46. Morgan off

Tyler Morgan is off for the Dragons after an accidental clash of heads. He's replaced by Carl Meyer. Might be a blood injury replacement.

  47. Penalty: Dragons 0-3 Scarlets

Scarlets pile on the pressure at a scrum in front of the Dragons' posts and Rhys Priestland makes no mistake from 23 metres.

  48. Post update

Cagey start in act II at the Millennium Stadium as Scarlets mount an early attack, but Dragons ease the early pressure with a kick by scrum-half Jonathan Evans.

  49. In case you missed it

  51. Yellow is the new red

Just to keep us all on our toes, the Scarlets are playing in yellow. But their shorts and socks are the appropriate shade of red.

  52. Here we go again

Cue the flames and the music . . . the Dragons and the Scarlets are out for the second act of Judgement Day under the roof at the Millennium Stadium.

Can they match the six tries we saw in the first match? We'll find out soon enough.

  53. What's at stake - Dragons v Scarlets

Scarlets face a battle to qualify for the European Champions' League - they need to finish in sixth place or higher to do that and after Edinburgh's bonus-point win over Zebre on Friday night the West Wales region desperately need to win.

Dragons could displace the Scarlets but will need to win all three of their remaining matches in serious style to give themselves a chance.

Lyn Jones' team will be desperate to bounce back after their European Challenge Cup semi-final thrashing by Edinburgh last time out.

  54. Dragons v Scarlets coming up

Stay with us then for the second Judgement Day III match at the Millennium Stadium, broadcast on S4C. It's live on the iPlayer here, with kick-off at 16:45 BST. And/or click the Live Coverage tab on this page to hear BBC Radio Wales' commentary.

  55. NG Dragons v Scarlets - how they line-up

  56. TEAM NEWS - Dragons v Scarlets

Newport Gwent Dragons captain Rynard Landman returns from a six-week ban to start in their Judgement Day clash against Scarlets.

The South African lock, 28, was sent off for elbowing Connacht's Jack Carty in the head in March.

Landman is one of six Dragons changes following the European Challenge Cup semi-final defeat by Edinburgh.

The Scarlets make six changes from the win against Zebre, with Wales hooker Ken Owens back as captain.

Owens' international colleague Rhys Priestland returns at fly-half, while Wales flanker Aaron Shingler comes in at blind-side.

Scarlets retain hopes of finishing in the top six to secure automatic 2015-16 European Champions Cup qualification.

  57. Tough finish to the season

Ospreys' two remaining matches are against leaders Glasgow at home on Friday May 8 and away to Connacht on 16 May.

  58. Ospreys captain Alun Wyn Jones

We're happy with the result but not happy with the way we got there.

There was a bit too much emotion around the occasion at the start and we didn't get into the game until the 30th minute really.

If we're honest we weren't clinical enough at times. We did well to get there in the end but we're well aware that if we play like that in the next tow games we're not going to get a home semi-final in the play-offs.

  59. The table after the final whistle

    BBC Table

Bear in mind that Munster are currently in action against Treviso at the moment.

  60. Jiffy's view

    Jonathan Davies

Former Wales fly-half on BBC Two Wales

"It's a good game, I thought the Blues really came at them.

"Fell on a couple of tackles and gave the Ospreys momentum, but the execution of Ospreys passing was very, very good.

"They're safely in the semi-finals now, but can they secure that home semi-final?

  61. Join the discussion with #ScrumV

There's a lot of people jumping on the Ospreys bandwagon now, and one or two taking a pop at the Blues too.

Dai in Cardiff: Great rugby from the Ospreys, quality coming to the fore at last after a slow start.

Jack in Scotland: Ospreys defence is on point!

John in Cardiff: Blues look poor. New players required quickly.

Merv in Yorkshire: Fair play to Cardiff Blues, on this showing they'd make for a good Premiership team. Not making the ball work, no teamwork!

    Bit harsh there, Merv.

  62. FULL TIME: Cardiff Blues 23-31 Ospreys

So Ospreys move into third place for the moment and have secured their place in the end of season play-offs with that victory after taking control in the second half.

The Dragons and the Scarlets have a tough act to follow.

  63. Converted try: Cardiff Blues 23-31 Ospreys

And in the last act of the match, the Blues are rewarded for trying to attack from their own line as Dan Fish intercepts a pass and runs in from his own 22. Gareth Davies converts

  64. Walker denied a walk-in

Eli Walker is denied a try wide on the right as Sam Davies' pass is called forward. Again, there was outstanding work by Dan Biggar in the build-up.

  65. Post update

    Dafydd Pritchard

BBC Wales Sport at the Millennium Stadium

"There's a choir in front of the press box at the Millennium Stadium, and they seemed to need a little encouragement as their conductor urged them on earlier.

"There was one slightly farcical moment when they had to whisper a hymn as Ospreys fly-half Dan Biggar lined up a kick - but there is no holding back now.

"The only thing louder than familiar tunes such as Hymns and Arias is the cheering of the jubilant Ospreys fans, delighted to see their team on the cusp of securing a place in the Pro12 play-offs."

  66. Another let-off

Cardiff Blues butcher a golden opportunity as Joaquin Tuculet ignores a three-man overlap and is brought down short of the line. Eventually the Ospreys win a penalty and the danger passes.

  67. Biggar man of the match

Dan Biggar's superb performance is rewarded as Jonathan Davies names him man-of-the-match.

  68. Ospreys in control

The difference in league position between the sides is as obvious now as it was absent in the first half. Alun Wyn Jones is full of it, and Dan Biggar is having a field day. Blues are gallant but outclassed now.

  69. Post update

    Dafydd James

Former Wales and Lions wing on BBC Radio Wales

"That is probably game, set, Judgement Day match.

"End-to-end stuff there, original break from Dan Evans was good, but the pass from Biggar to Matavesi was great.

"They just got the ball away, and it was easy for Tipuric. As cool as you like, a good try for Ben John."

We're getting some mixed opinions from you lot on twitter, but at least you've stopped talking about Gatland's beard...

Tegid in Cardiff: That's why Navidi should have been in Wales' 6 Nations squad!

Rhys in Neath: Ospreys are running the show in the second half, only one team in this game.

John Mounter: How much do the Blues need a quality ball-carrying centre? Jamie Roberts would do.

Catrin Ley: Ospreys are at last beginning to play. Great occasion, how I'd love to be there. Go on Ospreys for the bonus point!

No worries, Catrin, just stick about online and we'll make sure you don't miss anything.

  71. Converted try: Cardiff Blues 16-31 Ospreys - Ben John, con Biggar

Dan Evans makes great ground after some weak tackling, and Ben John rounds off the move as Justin Tipuric hands him a try on a plate. Biggar's conversion is simple. That's the bonus point the Ospreys wanted.

    Ben John scores for Ospreys
  72. Penalty - Dan Biggar: Cardiff Blues 16-24 Ospreys

A dominant scrum results in a penalty in front of the sticks for the Ospreys, and Dan Biggar is not going to miss from 27 metres.

  73. Post update

    Jonathan Davies

Former Wales fly-half on BBC Two Wales

"Fantastic burst through the middle, and what a sensational hand-off too.

"Josh Navidi is a guy who has deserved to score, he's had a fantastic season. Great wheels, right underneath the posts and that's a seven-pointer.

"It was the strength to get through the forward challenge, then the speed to out-gun Josh Matavesi. Great try."

  74. Converted try: Cardiff Blues 16-21 Ospreys

Josh Navidi fends off a poor attempted tackle by Scott Baldwin and runs in between the posts. Gareth Davies has a simple conversion.

The Blues are not lying down, but Navidi makes a hash of the restart to give the Ospreys an attacking platform.

  75. Try review

Garyn Smith over on the right for Blues, but were his feet in touch? Yes they were. No try!!!

  76. Converted try Ospreys: Blues 9-21 Ospreys - Tom Grabham, con Biggar

A training ground moves works like a dream as Ospreys move the ball wide and Dan Evans delivers a scoring pass to Grabham who scampers in on the wide right. Outstanding try and a great conversion from the right-hand touchline.

Matthew in Cardiff: Is that Warren Gatland or Paul Hollywood?

Paul Hollywood? We can't see it...

  81. Converted try: Cardiff Blues 9-14 Ospreys - scored and converted by Dan Biggar

Alun Wyn Jones hits a hole in midfield and hands on to Dan Biggar who runs in from 30 metres to give the Ospreys a dream start to the second half. The conversion is a formality.

  83. Post update

Glasgow's 31-13 win at Connacht is bad news for the Ospreys too. It lifts Glasgow to the top of the Pro12 table and makes it tougher for the Welsh region to finish in the top two.

But the Ospreys have to win this game first, of course.

The teams are back out for the second half. Wee the Cardiff Blues are anyway, there's no sign of the Ospreys.

  87. Wales coach Warren Gatland's view

"There were a lot of mistakes out there in the early stages but the teams got better as the half went on.

"In the front row it's nice to see Nicky Smith back, the two hookers are matching up well, the two sevens - Justin Tuipuric is having a good game.

"I've been really impressed with Rhys Patchell in attack in the first half."

"What a great try from Dan Evans.

"He just brushed Joaquin Tuculet out the way, and what a breath that will be for all those wondering who the next Gethin Jenkins will be.

"Lots of praise to Dan Biggar, but it's always the way isn't it, the full-backs taking all the glory after someone else's hard work!"

  91. HALF TIME: Cardiff Blues 9-7 Ospreys

Well that was not in the script. Blues have played really well and taken advantage of Ospreys errors, which have not been rare.

Their discipline was key as well, with Ospreys not having a single kick at goal apart from Biggar's conversion of Evans' try.

The Blues will be disappointed not to be further ahead.

  92. Ouch

Dan Biggar gets an accidental boot in the face from his Wales captain Sam Warburton who apologises quickly. THey are the best of friends really - even when they are playing for opposing teams.

  93. Converted try Ospreys: Cardiff Blues 9-7 Ospreys

Dan Evans crosses after outstanding work by Dan Biggar up the middle. Biggar converts brilliantly from the touchline.

  94. Captain Gethin returns

Blues captain Gethin Jenkins returns to the fray after having running repairs to his fingers.

  95. What a let-off

The Blues blow a golden chance as Rhys Patchell makes good ground but Tom Isaac and Joaquin Tuculet make a hash of things with the line at their mercy.

  96. Post update

    Dafydd James

Former Wales and Lions wing on BBC Radio Wales

"Warburton appears to have taken over as skipper in Jenkins' absence, he was the one that pointed to the posts for the penalty.

"It's a great kick there, you wouldn't expect Anscombe to miss that one, and rightly so. Blues are leading 9-0 here."

  97. Blues fans' delight

    Dafydd Pritchard

BBC Wales Sport at the Millennium Stadium

Cardiff Blues' bright start has perked up their large contingent of fans, who might not have been brimming with confidence ahead of this match.

A crowd of what appears to be at least 50,000 is significantly bigger - and louder - than those the two previous Judgement Days have attracted.

And if the Blues can keep this up against the play-off chasing Ospreys, expect the Millennium Stadium roof to start wobbling.

  98. Penalty: Blues 9-0 Ospreys

More Blues pressure yields a third penalty for Gareth Anscombe. This is not what the experts were predicting.

  99. Jenkins' pain

Gethin Jenkins is off the field with a hand injury, so Sam Hobbs comes on as a temporary sub.

  100. Biggar saves the day

Garyn Smith is bundled into touch a yard short by Dan Biggar as the Blues go close to scoring the opening try of the game. You can't take your eyes off it.

  101. A packed Stadium

The Millennium Stadium is looking busy.

BBC Scrum V just sent across this picture they took when the teams lined-up before kick-off, and you'd have to say that this is an impressive turn-out for the Pro12.

    Blues v Ospreys
  102. Ospreys frustrated again

Rhys Webb works some magic down the blindside and then some quick ball in midfield sets up a promising attack.

But again the Blues take full advantage of loose play at the breakdown and hack the ball 50 yards down the field where they earn the put-in at a scrum.

  103. Try review

Dan Baker is over in the corner for the Ospreys - but Nigel Owens wants to know if there's a knock-on. And Josh Matavesi's tiny nudge is enough to wipe-out the score.

    Josh Matavesi
  104. Navidi's star turn

Blues number eight Josh Navidi ends another stuttering Ospreys attack as he turns-over Lloyd Peers in the shadow his own posts.

  105. Nigel Owens lays-down the law

After awarding a penalty to Cardiff Blues after the first scrum, referee Nigel Owens issues clear instruction to Ospreys captain Alun Wyn Jones.

"Scrummage square - end of conversation!"

They know where they stand now!

  106. Join in the discussion with #ScrumV

In tandem with BBC Scrum V, we want to know what you are doing on Judgement Day.

Tom in Cardiff: In the stadium where every regional rugby fan should be for £10! Just need the sun to stick around.

Kieran in Bridgend: I'm going to watch Nantymoel in their final league game, where a win will see them win the league.

BBC Wales presenter Wynne Evans: Off to Bargoed RFC to make a piece for BBC Scrum V - it's going to be a good day!

Karl in Cardiff: Stuck in a wedding on Judgement Day, so having to sneakingly listen to the Ospreys game on a hidden earphone. Come on guys!

A hidden earphone? Karl is getting a bit Mission Impossible on us. May we suggest you simply glance at your phone every now and again to follow the text on the mobile site or app?

Also, we're not convinced that 'sneakingly' is a word. Keep your tweets coming in by using #ScrumV or email: scrumv@bbc.co.uk

  107. Penalty: Blues 6-0 Ospreys - Gareth Anscombe

And the Blues' early endeavour is rewarded when they earn a penalty from the resulting line-out and Gareth Anscombe is again on target with the kick. The score takes Anscombe past 50 points for the Blues in his first season in Welsh rugby.

  108. Jiffy's view on twitter

    Jonathan Davies

    Former Wales fly-half on Twitter

"Two great games, I hope they match the occasion. Blues to play with pride, Dragons to bounce back after Europe experience.

"But Ospreys to win and try for a home semi-final. Scarlets to win to try and get 6th place."

  109. What a thriller

Ospreys make a hash of a midfield move and lose 90 metres.

  110. Close call

Tommy Isaacs saves a certain try as Ospreys catch Blues napping from the re-start. Eli Walker was odds-on to score after Ben John's superb take and pass. But Isaacs had other ideas. Pressure is still on though.

  111. Penalty: Blues 3-0 Ospreys - Gareth Anscombe

It's all Cardiff Blues in the early exchanges and eventually the Ospreys concede a penalty and fly-half Gareth Anscombe kicks the points from 20 metres.

  112. Oops Rhys

Ospreys' Wales scrum-half Rhys Webb makes a hash of gathering a kick to give Blues an attacking line-out.

  113. Post update

More early Blues pressure but Lucas Amorosino passes the ball straight into touch as the Ospreys' well-organised defence holds firm.

  114. Singing the Blues

The Blues make a good start but Rhys Patchell's kick is easy for the Ospreys to deal with.

  115. Player to watch

Eli Walker scores against Connacht in 2013
Image caption: Eli Walker scores against Connacht in 2013 - at school he was a cross-country runner

Ospreys wing Eli Walker is one of the great talents of the Welsh domestic game but has yet to make the breakthrough into the international ranks because of a series of badly-timed injuries.

He was due to play for Wales against South Africa in November 2013 before a hamstring injury ruled him out of the game.

We talked to the player who comes from a sporting family during the build-up to today's big game in Cardiff.

"I'm sick to death of talking about injuries," said Walker.

  116. Post update

.... and after a minute's silence to mark Anzac Day and the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Gallipoli, we're ready for the kick-off.

  117. Here are the teams for the first match

The Blues and the Ospreys don't run out of the tunnel as they normally would, but down the steps through the media box because two sets of dressing rooms are being used.

  118. Join the debate at #ScrumV

In tandem with BBC Scrum V, we want to know what you are doing on Judgement Day.

Adam in Cardiff: Beddau RFC have a huge game vs Ystrad RFC... 80 mins to decide the title!!

Sarah in Oakdale: Off to Judgement Day with some of the Bargoed under-12's. Bargoed 1st team have a big game today where they will receive the Championship Cup.

Kate in Pontypridd: I'll be watching Bridgend Ravens play their last league game before the SWALEC final next week!

Rich in Cardiff: Only one place I'll be & that's at the Millennium Stadium for Judgement Day!

Looks like Rich is going to be on his own in the Millennium Stadium, judging by this lot...

  119. Cardiff Blues v Ospreys - how they line-up for game one.

  120. Match one team news

    Craig Mitchell
Image caption: Wales prop Craig Mitchell joined Cardiff Blues from Exeter in 2014

Prop Craig Mitchell will make his first Cardiff Blues Pro12 start since November when they face.

Mitchell's fellow former Osprey Adam Jones is left out of the match-day squad as Scott Andrews drops to the bench in a side showing nine changes.

Ben John comes in at centre as Ospreys make three starting changes.

Nicky Smith opposes Mitchell at prop and Lloyd Peers returns at lock.

  121. Cardiff Blues v Ospreys - what's at stake

Well, for the Cardiff Blues we're talking about pride. They are the bottom-placed of the four Welsh regions in the Pro12.

Ospreys could go second in the table with a bonus-point win today - depending what happens between Conncht and Glasgow - and any type of victory would clinch their place in the end-of-season play-offs after Leinster's defeat by leaders Ulster on Friday night.

Victory would also secure their place in next season's European Champions' Cup.

  122. Judgement Day - what's in a title?

The final destination of the Pro12 title will not be decided and don't expect four horsemen to come galloping out of the tunnel at the end of the second game, but Judgement Day will be the biggest domestic rugby event in Wales this season by some margin.

Wales' head coach Warren Gatland has said this is a chance for players to impress ahead of the announcement in early June of his preliminary squad for the 2015 World Cup.

And Gatland has returned from his home in New Zealand to be at the Millennium Stadium to watch the action unfold.

    No pressure, then lads?

  123. ... and the fans can't wait

    Dafydd Pritchard

BBC Wales Sport at the Millennium Stadium

    Fans outside the Millennium Stadium
Image caption: Fans throng outside the Millennium Stadium ahead of today's Pro12 derby matches

It's not often regional fixtures generate the buzz of an international matchday, but there is a palpable sense of excitement in Cardiff this afternoon.

After Judgement Day's first two instalments attracted crowds of 36,000 and 30,000, ticket sales for this year's event have soared past the 50,000 mark.

Scores of fans from all four regions have been milling around the Millennium Stadium since this morning, with a few hundred queuing as they wait for the gates to open, such is the anticipation here.

  124. What are you doing on Judgement Day?

    BBC Scrum V

    Scrum V

Today we're teaming up with BBC Scrum V to ask you a question, and it's a simple one: What are you doing on Judgement Day?

Are you already fighting to get inside the Millennium Stadium? Will you be watching the rugby at home on BBC Two Wales and S4C? Or do you intend to spend half of your day stuck in traffic on the A470, listening to the coverage as it unfolds on BBC Radio Wales?

Whatever you're up to, we want to know. Get involved on Twitter using #ScrumV, or email us on scrumv@bbc.co.uk - but, as always, remember to include your name and location. Diolch!

  125. BBC coverage

What's on and where to find it

There is plenty of sport going on today. Make your Saturday great by watching and listening to some of these:

Blues v Ospreys, BBC Two Wales, 14:30 BST: The first of our Judgement Day double-header. Ross Harries presents coverage of the action, with former Wales internationals Jonathan Davies and Martyn Williams in the studio.

Dragons v Scarlets, S4C, 16:45 BST: The second part of Judgement Day comes courtesy of Clwb Rygbi (they would call it Dreigiau v Scarlets) - and you can watch with English commentary via the red button, but why would you want to do that?

Newcastle v Swansea, Radio Wales, 15:00 BST (FM/DAB Swansea area only): Full match commentary from Simon Davies and Kevin Ratcliffe as Swansea chase their highest-ever league points tally.

Cardiff v Blackpool, Radio Wales, 15:00 BST (FM/DAB outside Swansea): Full match commentary from Rob Phillips and Ian Walsh.

Telford v Wrexham, Radio Wales, 17:15 BST (FM/DAB North Wales): Full match commentary from Mark Poyser and Mickey Thomas.

So only one or two games, then.

  126. Welcome to Judgement Day III

Good afternoon and welcome to an afternoon of Welsh rugby derby action at the Millennium Stadium.

It's Cardiff Blues versus the Ospreys followed by Newport Gwent Dragons against Scarlets with Pro12 points and local bragging rights up for grabs.

And contrary to popular rumour and reports, interest in the Welsh domestic game is not dead.

Far from it. More than 50,000 tickets have been sold for today's showcase under the closed roof of the Millennium Stadium.

For once the coaches had no say in whether the matches would be played under the Cardiff skies - the fans voted to close the roof - always a safe bet during April in Wales when a shower will usually be along in a minute.

Typically, however, the sun has come out in the Welsh capital.

    Let's hope it's a good omen.
