Righto, I think we're going to wrap this all up. Remember, it's Scotland v France in Edinburgh tomorrow, which kicks of at 15:00 GMT as in live on the BBC. A Scotland win would hand England the title, a French win would take it into the final weekend. Peace and love.

Billy Vunipola had more carries than anyone, with 18. That's five more than the next highest, Dan Biggar. Man of the match Maro Itoje made more tackles than any other Englishman, with 14, although Welshman Dan Lydiate made 16. 

Given England's dominance in the first half, you might be surprised to learn that Wales finished with 55% of territory and 51% of possession. That tells you just how much England were creaking in the final 20 minutes. 

The battle of the number eights was highlighted by some before kick-off as where the match would be won and lost.

Taulupe Faletau scored a try, but childhood friend Billy Vunipola led on most of the other stats.

Wales coach Warren Gatland told ITV: "I'm very disappointed with the first half. I said to them at half time that we needed some energy. I told the players they needed to come up with answers themselves. In the second half we got sime impetus and finished strongly and we wonder what could have been.

"It was unlike us in the first half. We looked tired and didn't look enthusiastic. But I'm proud the boys didn't give up and they kept their heads.

"England competed hard. We outscored them 3-1 in terms of tries but it was Farrell's kicks that were the difference. The best team won and I take my hat off to them."

England head coach Eddie Jones on ITV: "It was one game for 60 minutes and another for 20. Luckily we got enough points in the first 60. It was a funny game, it was all Wales in the last 20. We dropped off a bit at the end.

"We made a number of changes on purpose to test players and to test the strength of the team and maybe those changes didn't work. If you look at our first 60 minutes there was some fantastic rugby.

"Maro Itoje - he's a BMW now (Jones described him as an Astra before the game).

"The Grand Slam is a reality and we can't wait to get to Paris and to do the business. We need to prepare well and the Grand Slam is there for us to take. France will play with a lot of passion and a lot of pride – I think we're good enough to do the business."

Taulupe Faletau muscles over in the 76th minute, Rhys Priestland adds the extras and suddenly England, a man down with Dan Cole in the bin, are in a world of danger.

Wales flanker Dan Lydiate told ITV: "We didn't get out of the blocks in the first half, but all credit to England. It left us too much to do. I wish we'd had another 10 minutes.

"We didn't spark. Preparation went well during the week but it wasn't there. In the second half we got back into it but it was too little, too late.

"England came out firing but we've got to take a look at ourselves."

England's man of the match Maro Itoje on ITV: "It was pretty tough, especially the last 20 minutes. Thank God we managed to see it through.

"We talked through the different scenarios in the week and luckily we had enough time to see it through.

"This was a slightly different team to the game against Wales at the World Cup and this team is setting our own standards and our own goals."

England full-back Mike Brown ran the ball back with interest all afternoon.

England choked a bit towards the end and cramped up. It was a delight to see Wales play a different game and they showed what they're capable of. England deserved the win, they were the better side for 70 mins. I think they go to Paris a firm favourite and I can see them winning the Grand Slam. For Wales it’s a chance to shed Warren-ball against Italy next week."

England's last Grand Slam was as long ago as 2003, which is a remarkable stat for a country of its size and resources. On the evidence of the Six Nations so far, they should rumble France in Paris. Although it's not always that easy. As it is, it's the second time in three years that England have won the Triple Crown.

If France lose against Scotland tomorrow, which is a distinct possibility, it's England's title. If France win tomorrow, it's alive and heading into Le Crunch in Paris next Saturday. Who said the Six Nations was boring? Well, me actually, but it was a lot of fun today.
