They will be familiar with these surroundings. The Glasgow intent from the off was fantastic. It was mouthwatering rugby. The Blues have shown some great signs, some nearly great tries. The first half had Glasgow by far the better outfit. Don't write the Blues off yet, though

It's the old cliche, the next score is the most important. But if they keep playing and defending the same way and maybe up their tempo, I think they'll walk out comfortable winners in this game

They look dangerous when they go through phases, and have scored a couple of quality tries. It's just making sure they cut out the basic, soft errors. If they cut them out they've more than enough weaponry to cause some real problems for Cardiff

  5. 'Glasgow need five points'published at 16:05 British Summer Time 21 October 2018

The overwhelming probability in this group is that Saracens will motor on to win it, so the best that Glasgow can realistically do, given that they’ve already lost at home to Sarries, is second in the group.

Three of the best second-placed teams go through to the quarter-finals. In that context, a win here is critical for Glasgow as is a four-try bonus point. They need five points out of this and they’re already halfway there.

Everything has gone a bit sloppy since that early flurry, though. Glasgow need to re-gather themselves. They’re making mistakes and have lost that cutting edge they had earlier.

  6. Half-time - Cardiff 0-15 Glasgowpublished at 16:03 British Summer Time 21 October 2018

Much better from Cardiff. Dillon Lewis bursts through and exchanges passes with Tomos Williams but Nick Williams is well tackled by Sam Johnson and Warriors soon win a scrum.

They need to pick up the concentration for the last few minutes, it's crucial Glasgow don't concede before half-time and if they can sneak a score themselves it gives them the second half against the wind. The way they're going they've given themselves a decent chance

Frustration for Glasgow as Callum Gibbins drops the ball. Cardiff have the scrum.

Glasgow get it back but a forward pass by Adam Hastings stops them in their tracks.

Plenty of action. The Blues doing very well within another great passage of play with great handling, but again failing to get the ball over the line

Glasgow have defended very well and look comfortable in their defence. Cardiff haven't really threatened despite having a reasonable amount of possession in Glasgow's territory

The scrum is a worry. The right-hand scrum at the moment, Darcy Rae up against Rhys Gill, he's getting a hard time of it and if it carries on like this they'll need to look to the bench and bring on Petrus Du Plessis quicker than they might want to

  19. Better from the Bluespublished at 15:39 British Summer Time 21 October 2018

Better stuff from the Blues though. Really putting men into space. Jarrod Evans putting players through little small gaps. Looking good. It's very hard to defend against ball that quick. It's still pressure on Glasgow though.

The ideal start for Glasgow. The accuracy of the basic skills, keeping hold of the ball, keeping pace to their attack made such a difference. The game has now calmed down and both teams are a bit cagey. But a very strong, solid start from Glasgow so far.
