Cardiff Blues v Ospreys (17:00 BST)

Ospreys coach Toby Booth believes the possible introduction of the four South African Super Rugby sides to the Pro14 is exciting.

An adventurous plan being discussed is to introduce the four Super Rugby sides Sharks, Bulls, Lions and Stormers into the Pro14 to become a Pro16.

This could happen as early as the 2020-21 season.

    Cardiff players dejected

This is the final regular Pro14 match of the season for the Welsh regions as Ospreys and Cardiff Blues complete their 2019/20 campaign.

It is an extended season that both regions will be glad to see the back of.

Ospreys have only won two games all season and are currently bottom of Conference A, although they could overhaul Zebre depending on results today.

They now have a new head coach Toby Booth at the helm who will take charge of his second match in charge.

Cardiff Blues are currently sixth out of seven in Conference B but could still finish above Benetton.

Both sides will be hoping they will be challenging nearer the top of the table next season.

  5. Webb's chance to shine

Cardiff Blues v Ospreys (17:00 BST)

    Rhys Webb

George North is not the only Wales player missing this afternoon, Cardiff Blues scrum-half Tomos Williams has been ruled out for up to four months with a shoulder injury picked up against Scarlets last weekend.

One man who has hopes of wearing the Welsh No. 9 jersey is Rhys Webb, who plays his second Ospreys game today since returning to his homeland from Toulon via Bath.

Webb impressed on his first appearance back in Ospreys colours last time out and this is another opportunity for the 31-year-old to stake his claim.

  6. Ospreys team news - Cross replaces North

Cardiff Blues v Ospreys (17:00 BST)

Ospreys have made six changes to the side that drew 20-20 with Dragons, with Wales Under-20 international Dewi Cross in for the banned George North.

Wales wing North was given a four-match ban for his dangerous tackle on Dragons' Ashton Hewitt last weekend.

Centre Tiaan-Thomas Wheeler, prop Rhodri Jones, hooker Scott Otten, second-row Bradley Davies and number eight Gareth Evans all start for Ospreys while Mat Protheroe is in line to make his debut off the bench after joining from Bristol.

  7. Cardiff Blues team news - Navidi returns as skipper

Cardiff Blues v Ospreys (17:00 BST)

Wales back-rower Josh Navidi captains Cardiff Blues as they make a whopping 13 changes.

Navidi returns at number eight after missing the 32-12 defeat against Scarlets last weekend, with Josh Turnbull and Josh Adams the only survivors from the starting side at Parc y Scarlets.

Navidi missed Wales' Six Nations games against Italy, Ireland and France with a hamstring injury before returning in the defeat against England in early March.

New back-row signing Sam Moore is set to make his Blues debut off the replacements' bench after joining from Sale.

  8. Hello and welcome!

Cardiff Blues v Ospreys (17:00 BST)

Good afternoon and welcome to the final fixture involving Welsh clubs in the elongated Pro14 regular season.

Cardiff Blues face Ospreys with the game being played at the home of Dragons, Rodney Parade, because the Arms Park is part of the Principality Stadium field hospital.

Neither region has any hope of reaching the end-of-season play-offs, with Blues sixth in Conference B and Ospreys bottom of Conference A.

But there is always pride at stake in a Welsh derby, with both sides hoping to end the campaign on a high note.

Let's hope the game is as entertaining as yesterday's encounter at Rodney Parade, when Scarlets beat Dragons 41-20.
