I think it'll be a tight game, but I see Glasgow swinging it. I think they'll have too much up front - Glasgow by six points.

I think we will see the odd mistake tonight. Both benches have experience and top level players on there. There could be some twists with 20 minutes to go.

Glasgow are the current holders of the 1872 Cup, and Danny Wilson welcomes back Scott Cummings in a strong forward pack that also features Richie Gray and powerful Australian international Jack Dempsey.

Jamie Dobie and Duncan Weir are at nine and ten as the home side look to bounce back from their 35-10 loss at Scarlets.

Sione Tuipulotu is named on the bench - he was one of six Scotland players disciplined for breaching team protocols this week.

Mike Blair names a fairly settled side after Edinburgh's convincing win over Connacht last time out.

Argentine duo Emiliano Boffelli and Ramiro Moyano will be hoping to continue their superb form on the wings.

  16. Take twopublished at 19:04 Greenwich Mean Time 18 March 2022

    Glasgow Warriors v Edinburgh (19:35)

Both legs of the 1872 Cup were scheduled to take place over the festive period, but a Covid outbreak in the Glasgow camp made us all wait.

That postponement means neither side are at full strength due to the clash with Scotland's Six Nations campaign, but there will still be a capacity crowd at Scotstoun eager to see Glasgow triumph over their inter-city rivals.
