    Sheer power from the Warriors!

The forward pack rumble forward at a maul, and go straight underneath the posts. It looks as though Cardiff have held it up, but an Inspector Gadget-like arm stretches out to pop the ball down.

A brilliant response from last week. I do think Tom Jordan was lucky to escape with a yellow card - it's a shot to the head, and I think it should have been red. Incidents like that are routinely red, and I'm not sure there's sufficient mitigation there.

Confidence, intensity, accuracy. The last half-hour in particular has been a joy to watch.

    George Horne

    The decision pays off!

George Horne has been outstanding all game, and he snipes from close range to score a deserved try.

The scrum-half converts his own score, and Glasgow head in at the break leading by 18 points.

    Glasgow 21-10 Cardiff

Glasgow opt for a scrum after they win a penalty slap bang in front of the posts.

Should they have taken the points while they are a man down? Time will tell.

  14. Postpublished at 38 mins

    Glasgow 21-10 Cardiff

The bounce of the ball denies George Horne a magnificent solo try.

He takes a short ball, jinxes past a tackler and then chips over the last man.

He looks favourite to score, but the ball ricochets into Cardiff hands. Glasgow pile the pressure on though and win a 5m scrum...

    Jarrod Evans

Interesting - Cardiff decide to take the points rather than going to the corner.

Jarrod Evans splits the posts and closes the gap.

  16. Sin-bin Tom Jordan (Glasgow)published at 20:26 British Summer Time 23 September 2022

    Glasgow 21-7 Cardiff

Glasgow's fly-half will be a relieved man. There is clear contact with a Cardiff head in the tackle, and he didn't appear to wrap his arms.

However, the referee decides there's enough mitigation to spare Jordan from seeing red.

Dai Young shakes his head in the stands.

Cardiff, back up to their full allocation, come forward menacingly, and win a penalty after Glasgow infringe at the breakdown.

The TMO cannot fid anything wrong with that. Matt Fagerson barrelled his way over from close range after a succession of strong carries.
