However, that doesn't quite tell the whole story. The Italian side took losing bonus points from their opening two games, against Leinster and the Sharks, and troubled the Stormers before falling short.
This will not be easy for Edinburgh.

Ahead of Scotland's opening game of the Autumn internationals against Australia next week, a number of players are rested by Edinburgh, including Blair Kinghorn, Darcy Graham, Mark Bennett and Pierre Schoeman.
Mike Blair is still able to name a strong looking XV though, with Fijian number eight Bill Mata making his 100th appearance for Edinburgh.
Wes Goosen also makes his much-anticipated debut on the wing following his summer arrival from the Hurricanes.
