    Perpignan 26-40 Glasgow

    Perpignan 26-40 Glasgow

Both teams seem to be under the illusion that the next score wins.

There's a lot of very reckless offloading going on.

Still, it's an entertaining way to finish this game.

The clock has just ticked past 80 minutes...

    Posolo Tuilagi

Perpignan do score, but it's little more than a consolation.

Posolo Tuilagi breaks away from a maul to crash his way over the line.

    Conversion successful.

Not a lot to write home about in the past few minutes.

Perpignan win a scrum penalty though inside Glasgow's 22, and have a chance to restore some pride.

    Josh McKay

Glorious rugby - Glasgow have another!

Jack Dempsey starts it off - the big number eight crashes through a weak tackle, and finds Jamie Dobie in support.

Some more quick, slick hands take Glasgow to within inches of the line, and with Perpignan stretched, the ball goes wide to Josh McKay, who scores in the corner.

Duncan Weir adds the extras from out wide.

    Ollie Smith

A wonderful score gets Glasgow their first points of the second half!

Quick ball, and deft hands release Ollie Smith, and the youngster pins back his ears to race away and score in the corner.

Duncan Weir's conversion slides just wide.

    Matteo Rodor

Perpignan make their numerical advantage count.

Some great work from Posolo Tuilagi gives the hosts attacking momentum, and Matteo Rodor just about holds off some last-ditch Glasgow tackles to score in the corner.

Rodor dusts himself down to add the extras.

  12. Sin-bin Thomas Gordon (Glasgow)published at 50 mins

    Perpignan 12-28 Glasgow

Thomas Gordon has only been on the park for about a minute, and the replacement flanker is shown yellow after a no-arms tackle sends the Perpignan ball-carrier flying beyond the horizontal.

For the second time tonight, Glasgow will have to play the next ten minutes with 14 men.

One positive for the Warriors is that the hosts knock-on from their lineout, and Glasgow have a chance to clear their lines.

    Perpignan 12-28 Glasgow

Some delightful hands release Jamie Dobie down the left-hand side, but the scrum-half's kick through has far too much on it, and Perpignan will have a goal-line drop-out.

    HT: Perpignan 12-28 Glasgow

In the absence of any noteworthy half-time punditry, I'm going to make myself a cup of tea.

Milk, no sugar, if you're interested.

  17. Half-timepublished at 20:50 Greenwich Mean Time 14 January 2023

    Perpignan 12-28 Glasgow

A very ambitious cross-field kick from Duncan Weir flies out on the full, and so the players head for the sheds.

Glasgow deservedly lead. More of the same would do very nicely after the break.

    Perpignan 12-28 Glasgow

Perpignan knock-on from their own lineout, and Glasgow have a scrum as we approach the interval.

  19. Postpublished at 37 mins

    Perpignan 12-28 Glasgow

Now it's Perpignan's turn to fly forward in attack.

Edward Sawailau is stopped just inches short of the line, before Glasgow get over the ball and pinch possession back.

The Warriors have more defending to do now - the hosts have a lineout just inside the Glasgow 22.

    Johnny Matthews

    Here's Johnny!

Victor Montgaillard's lineout throw flies over everyone's head, and Johnny Matthews pounces for Glasgow.

The powerful hooker bounces off a couple of would-be tacklers and crashes over to score Glasgow's fourth try.

The conversion sails through, bonus point in the bag - lovely stuff.
