Mrs Lineker has tweeted - the presenter's pooch is watching the big show tonight...
Ooops... Gary Lineker has cut his finger on the SPOTY trophy. Claret everywhere. He doesn't want to be eating any salty crisps without a plaster on that. Ouch.

Gary Lineker is tasked with bringing out the famous SPOTY trophy - always pressure involved there - and he is flanked by Clare Balding and Gabby Logan. A huge roar greets the three presenters.
That opening montage of the best sporting moments of the year was special, wasn't it? It reminds you why we all love sport.

World champion heptathlete Jessica Ennis-Hill told me she hoped her son Reggie was fast asleep during the show.
"My sister and dad are looking after him, and he should be tucked up in bed," said Ennis-Hill who won the world title in Beijing just 13 months after giving birth to Reggie.
On her triumph she said: "It's definitely not the easiest thing I've done. It's taken a lot of focus and drive, but it gave me an incredible sense of achievement."
Admit it... the hairs are standing up on the back of your neck.
Ella Henderson - what a voice - is opening the show, her tones overlaying images of the stars arriving for the red carpet bash.

Here's your two minute warning that the live show is about to begin on BBC One. Put the cat out, grab the Christmas chocolates and make a brew. It's almost time to celebrate another fantastic year of sport.

Equestrian - 2015 in review
The year was overshadowed by a serious fall in competition for Britain's William Fox-Pitt.
He is continuing after being placed in an induced coma in October.
He had earlier in the year won his second Badminton Horse Trials, becoming the first British Badminton winner since Oliver Townend in 2009.
There was plenty of success for GB in the European Dressage Championships in Germany, with Charlotte Dujardin leading the way with two individual golds and a team silver.
Elsewhere Scott Brash won showjumping's biggest individual prize of 1m Euros (£735,000) by becoming the first rider to win the sport's grand slam.

Not long now... 18:50 GMT on BBC One.
Lucy Bronze tells BBC News School Report that she is overwhelmed to be here, but is representing all the girls in the England football team. She'd like to think the men could learn a thing or two from their third place in the World Cup.
