  17. Rashford to be given special BBC awardpublished at 08:35 Greenwich Mean Time 1 December 2020

It's already been announced that England and Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford will be honoured for his work to raise awareness of child food poverty in the UK.

Rashford's campaign has resulted in about 1.3 million children in England being able to claim free school meal vouchers in the summer holidays.

His continued work saw a policy change in November, where the government announced more than £400m to support poor children and their families in England.

The show's judging panel unanimously agreed that Rashford's accomplishments off the pitch should be commended with a special award as the criteria for the main award shortlist is based around sporting achievements.

The 23-year-old will be presented with the Panel Special Award during the show in December.
