    We've briefly mentioned today's Wimbledon forecast, but BBC's Simon King has provided us with more detail.

    "More summer sunshine at Wimbledon today and it’s going to turn very warm with maximum temperatures getting up to around 26°C," he says. 

    "No issues expected for Saturday either with sunny spells and a high of 24°C. It turns a bit more interesting on Sunday however with the potential for a rather damp start to the day with outbreaks of rain."

    At 9am this morning there was plenty of room to manoeuvre in Wimbledon Park, but there seems to have been a late dash to join the queue in the last few hours.

    Andy Murray won the opening set in that 2012 Wimbledon defeat, but then the rain clouds visited SW19, the roof closed and indoors Roger Federer reigned supreme. But Centre Court's retractable roof will have to find employment elsewhere today because, weather-wise, it's going to be a magnificent day.
