Ivan as thrilled as ever.
But that is a good thing for Andy Murray, Lendl has this settling impact for him.
*Murray 2-1 Cilic
Uh-oh. It had been such plain sailing, but Andy Murray has hit a bit of turbulence.
The home fighter is in a little bit of a flap as his forehand gets off the leash and flies long to open up 15-40 on the scoreboard.
And you are back in the room.
Murray snaps back into normal service to see off both break points.
To deuce.

Because Murray hit his last forehand as hard as he did, he struggled to maintain his balance, all Cilic had to do was put the ball in the court.
*Murray 2-1 Cilic
Andy Murray has come out in street mugger mode rather than backalley hustler.
The British number one - with three break points on the board - goes full bore to try and convert.
Aggression cranked up to 11 and he finally makes it stick from 30-40 as Marin Cilic can only fend a floating shot long over the baseline.
First blood to the Scot.
Murray 1-1 *Cilic
Andy Murray zones in and has the Cilic serve firmly in his sights.
He fetches and claws his way to the opening point for 0-15.
A whopper of a return winner brings up 0-40 and three break points.

It was interesting how aggressive Murray was in that game.
So often in the past he has started matches gently but not that game.
Murray 1-1 *Cilic
Andy Murray's serve looks feisty this afternoon as well.
A couple of blockbusters send him racing into a 40-0 lead.
Murray works a groove in that cushion, makes himself so comfortable and attempts a tickle of a drop-shot from back on the baseline.
A little early for such luxuries perhaps, Cilic runs it down with ease and pokes a nice winning reply down the line.
Murray gets the job done as he reverts to the more ballistic and business-like play of earlier points.
*Murray 0-1 Cilic
Marin Cilic pelts down a commanding opening service game.
Not a lot of surprises pulled out of the racquet bag - a banging serve, a popping forehand - but that doesn't mean Andy Murray can do much about it.
The Briton is scurrying and moon-balling behind the baseline, but can't prise his way into the game.
It goes the Croat's way for the loss of just one point.
Murray v Cilic
Here we go then. Marin Cilic to serve first...
Meanwhile, Roger Federer, who was bidding for his ninth title in Halle, has been beaten in the semi-finals by young German star Alexander Zverev.
Zverev beat the Swiss maestro 7-6 (7-4) 5-7 6-3.
But remember that Federer is coming back from injury - sure he'll be in better shape come Wimbledon...

I suspect Murray will come through this match and play against Raonic in the final.

Cilic is a deceptive player on grass. He looks slow but actually moves well.
He has an awesome serve, not many aces but nasty, and also a good forehand.
He has got a shot today.
Murray v Cilic
How do these two match up?
Well, Andy Murray has won 10 of his 12 meetings with Marin Cilic.
One of Cilic's wins was quite recent however, picking up a straight-set victory in Rotterdam in 2014.
Cilic also has Wimbledon darling Goran Ivanisevic in his corner. If anyone knows how to win matches and hearts on grass it is that man.
Andy Murray on BBC One: I was very happy with how I finished against Kyle (Edmund). I was hitting the ball clean and dictating points. Parts of the match were good but I need to to try and raise my level. I did that when I needed to against Kyle and hopefully I will maintain that in the rest of the event.
Having a good head to head against someone shows that you match up well but it doesn’t guarantee anything. It is a different day, the surface changes so it doesn’t guarantee anything.

BBC Sport at Queen's Club
"It's going to be probably a little bit of a crowd against me," was the very polite Marin Cilic's analysis of the likely split in affections for the Queen's Club crowd today.
The good news for Marin is that Barons Court hosts one of the more genteel atmospheres on the tennis tour, with polite applause the default setting.
Waterproofs and umbrellas are very much in evidence already and it's an ominously dark, chilly day - exactly the sort of June day that we all relish.

What does coach Ivan Lendl bring to Andy Murray's camp.
A steely determination?
The know-how accumulated over seven Grand Slam?
A few more mph on that forehand?
Yep, all of the above.
And this rather strange racquet.
Any ideas anyone? It is kind of hexagonal and has some off-centre string pattern. Is it some kind of Wimbledon-winning secret weapon? If so, don't tell Novak.

Pack away the bunting. Dig out your game face.
After two rounds of all-British encounters, Andy Murray is thrown back in against one of the world's best.
Croatia's Marin Cilic - a former US Open champion banned for four months for a doping offence back in 2013 - is the heel in today's little Queen's Club dust-up.
It's going to be a step-up in quality and drama.
