It's official - we have Brexit. The final British woman is out of Wimbledon.

Tara Moore had a good crack at 13th seed Svetlana Kuznetsova though. Moore saved one match point before the Russian got the job done as the rain started to pour over SW19. Again.

Plenty of positives for Moore to take despite defeat. Not least that she has an army of new selfie-hunting fans.

Dan Evans is going well here.

The 26-year-old manages to stave off two break points and holds after Roger Federer skews another shot wide.

    Nice work from the Brit.

Oh for the love of tennis, what is with this weather?!

Things were getting very interesting on Court One as defending champion Novak Djokovic fell two sets behind against world number 28 Sam Querrey.

But now they've been taken off. Gaaaaaaah.

Hello, Dan Evans break point. We've not been expecting you.

The British number four nabs a game off the world number three after the Swiss hits past the baseline.

    *Federer 4-1 Evans

Dan Evans bangs home a forehand winner to move to 40-15 but he tries to slice over the net on the next point and it bounces out.

But cheers ripple through the crowd as he holds and gets off the mark after Roger Federer returns long.

    Say no to bagels!

  8. Isner wins another epicpublished at 19:56 British Summer Time 1 July 2016

American 18th seed John Isner ended the Wimbledon odyssey of Australian qualifier Matthew Barton, serving his way to victory 7-6 (8-6) 7-6 (7-3) 7-6 (8-6) in a second-round clash.

The 6ft 10in American fired down 43 aces, including a 142mph bullet that was the joint fastest of the tournament.

He was forced to knuckle down by the gritty Australian, who at 248 was the the lowest-ranked competitor left in the men's singles draw.

Federer holds to love in a game which lasted about one minute. Rapid.

Oh dear. Svetlana Kuznetsova has pooped the party. The 13th seed racks up three break points, two of which Tara Moore salvages. Not the third alas. Kuznetsova has the ball in hand - she's serving for the match.

    *Federer 3-0 Evans

It may not be Marcus Willis-style support for British number four Dan Evans, but the Centre Court crowd are certainly behind the boy from Birmingham.

There's warm applause as he swipes a decent forehand winner past Federer.

But eventually, he's broken again as he tries to lob the Swiss. It's all R-Fed early doors.

"I don't believe it!" cries a Victor Meldrew impersonator behind me. Frankly, no-one can. Tara Moore pulls a devil of a break out of the bag. Now where's a hold when we need one...

    Federer 2-0 Evans*

Federer races into a 40-0 lead but Evans isn't going to take it lying down.

He makes two decent returns to gain two points.

But then the third seed holds with an ace.

  14. Federer breaks in first gamepublished at 19:49 British Summer Time 1 July 2016

    *Federer 1-0 Evans

Early break point for the seven-time Wimbledon champion but a rare mis-hit on the forehand sends us back to deuce.

Back to advantage and break point Federer. But once again the forehand goes wide.

Evans tips into the net and a third break point to the Swiss and this time the Federer backhand lets him down.  Back to deuce town.

A fourth break point for Federer, after an Evans double fault and a wild, wild backhand from Evans goes towards the roof. Ooops.

    Federer leads.

Quite a few blankets are spread across knocking knees as the temperature plummets on Court Three. The heat has gone out of Tara Moore too. The British wildcard has a sniff at 15-0 on Svetlana Kuznetsova's serve, but the Russian roars back with four straight points. The fizz is going out of this one I'm afraid folks.

    *Federer 0-0 Evans

Off we go again on the Centre Court.

British number four Dan Evans starts us off and, on his second serve, he wins the opening point with a winner down the line. The crowd liked that one.

A brief interlude now as an amorous man exclaims his love for Roger Federer out loud. I think Roger liked that one.

Evans moves to 40-30 but Federer outsmarts him. We go to deuce.

Dan Evans just has to take it point by point. I know it's trite to say that but it's the case and if Roger does get on a hot streak, he shouldn't worry. It's not as if he can do much about it.

  18. Djokovic loses first setpublished at 19:40 British Summer Time 1 July 2016

    Djokovic 6-7 (6-8) Querrey

Meanwhile, after the women's top seed Serena Williams dropped the first set, now the men's top seed Novak Djokovic has fallen behind in his third-round match.

American Sam Querrey takes the opener 8-6 in a tie-break. Will he do what Christina McHale couldn't and take down the defending champion?

Whatever Svetlana Kuznetsova got up to when she popped off court before this deciding set, it certainly did the trick. The 13th-seeded Russian is pumped, beating Tara Moore back with more aggressive strokes. She's well in command now.

Dan Evans has tasted success before and he has trained hard to get back to this level. What a great opportunity to let it all hang out and see what he can go against an all-time great. We expect him to lose, so why not just let it fly?
