    *Federer 6-6 (0-5) Cilic

    Disquiet in the stands.

Marin Cilic, bruising the ball from the back, takes the first three points and a double mini-break. Mini double-break? Potato, potartoe...

A bazooka serve and suddenly he is looking at the rough end of 4-0.

A return long make that 5-0.

A lot of work to do from here.

    Querrey 4-6 Raonic

    Peter Fleming
    Seven-time Grand Slam doubles champion

Raonic played a flawless set, certainly on serve. He won 82% of points behind his first serve and 92% behind his second serve. That's exemplary.

Stat attack! Before that crucial Raonic break, the pair had only dropped five points on serve in the previous seven games. Then the Canadian sixth seed decided enough was enough. Clinical.

    Querrey 4-6 Raonic

Milos Raonic had to come back from two sets down against David Goffin in the last 16.

He's not up for playing that game again.

The big Canadian has nabbed the first set 6-4 against Sam Querrey on Court One.

You can watch that match on this link.

Roger Federer, serving to take this first set to a breaker.

Oh that is delicious. Centre Court's matinee idol hits the high note with a backhand touch across court that dies and drops just in.

Marin Cilic's Hawkeye review only confirms its accuracy.

    We are into a shoot-out

You would think Cilic would be going at Federer's backhand but he is so good at blocking with the chip backhand, you can get more free points going to his forehand with the first serve.

    *Querrey 4-5 Raonic

    Peter Fleming
    Seven-time Grand Slam doubles champion

It's such an irresistible combination from Raonic - a big serve to get his opponent out of position and he is able to just drop the volley over the net. It's so nice to see the Canadian embrace this style of play.

    Querrey 4-4 Raonic

    Jonathan Jurejko

There are going to be a few bruised tennis balls that will need some treatment after this match. Querrey thumps a Raonic lob back into the ground, the ball bouncing up high into their crowd to the delight of the fans. If Court One was a golf green Querrey would be pulling a pitch-mark repairer out of his back pocket.

Marin Cilic has been making some small, yet effective, improvements to his serve.

Cilic, now under the guidance of coach Goran Ivanisevic, has tightened up his serve since 2012 - as this video shows.

A lovely forehand cross-court winner brings the score up to 40-30. Federer's on the chase.

The R-Fed fans are enjoying this. They clap, they ooh, they ahhh in unison.

But Marin Cilic finds some empty grass to place his own forehand winner. The Croat holds again.

And then Federer sees out his own service game with an ace. Lovely job.

    We're stil level.

Four games. Four holds. Anyone expect anything less? Not one well-spoken man sat behind the media seats. He's expecting a marathon match.

"We're going for 57-55 in the fifth," he chortles.

Hope he's brought plenty of food supplies.

    Federer 3-3 Cilic*

    Jim Courier
Former world number one on BBC TV

Cilic has big swings on his ground strokes so if you give him something to hit he can absolutely pummel it.

He is a pretty good mover into the open court but I think he is vulnerable to the ball behind him, I don't think he stops and changes direction too well.
