Could we see a similar photo later this year? But with that glass vase replaced by Wimbledon's famous silver salver perhaps?

    We can all dream...

    Konta 6-4 6-3 Wozniacki

The biggest moment in British women's tennis since Virginia Wade won Wimbledon in 1977? That's what some of the experienced journalists in the Miami press room reckon. I'm not disagreeing.

Jo Konta breaks into a beaming smile, dropping her racquet to the ground as Wozniacki is unable to scramble back an inch-perfect lob.

She jogs off court to celebrate victory with her nearest and dearest.

Jo Konta is one game away from the biggest title of her career. Can she break Wozniacki's serve and do it at the first opportunity?

  16. Postpublished at 19:45 British Summer Time 1 April 2017

    Konta 6-4 5-3 Wozniacki*

I've said this a few times tonight but.... this is a HUGE hold for Jo Konta.

The Briton sees a 30-0 lead wiped out when she smacks a backhand into the net, a half smile showing how annoyed she is with herself.

But she blocks out that anger, refocuses and sees out her serve.

    *Konta 4-3 Wozniacki

Now then! Johanna Konta has just turned the bend and is heading down the final straight.

Caroline Wozniacki produces a poor game when it really matters, going 0-40 down before saving a couple of those break points.

But she can't save the third and Konta is now two holds of serve away from the title. Easy said than done on the evidence of the past 90 minutes or so...

  19. Postpublished at 19:37 British Summer Time 1 April 2017

    Konta 3-3 Wozniacki*

Anyone wondering why these two look so nervy might be keen to know the winner takes home. Their bank account will be boosted by a sum of $1175,505 - that's about £937,105.39. Roughly.

    Not a bad week's work.

  20. Postpublished at 19:36 British Summer Time 1 April 2017

    Konta 3-3 Wozniacki*

My nerves are taking a pounding just watching these two.

Jo Konta appears to be cruising, only to see her 40-15 lead disappear to deuce in a flash. A double fault gives Wozniacki a lifeline, before the Briton goes back to a serve which has been so successful this week - the ace out wide.
