Nadal 3-6 4-6 6-3 6-4 9-9 Muller*
Stunning from Nadal, a drop shot executed with the deftest of touches, before he hammers down a big serve.
Nadal slices into the net for 30-15, but his return of serve spoons wide, before Nadal batters a forehand winner to hold.
*Nadal 3-6 4-6 6-3 6-4 8-9 Muller
Gilles Muller gives the camera some serious side-eye as he rubs his face with a towel.
Both fellas still look relatively fresh. What can Nadal get going with his serve?

Will Knox: Telling myself I'll start studying after this set, might be a bad idea.
Ayo Obit: Gilles Muller is really maintaining his composure and game against Rafa Nadal! Great tennis.
LStorch: So SO tense right now with this.
*Nadal 3-6 4-6 6-3 6-4 8-9 Muller
Another big serve out wide from Muller and a diving Nadal gets just a hint of racquet on it, before Muller smashes the winner beyond him.
Ace! Game, Muller! Brilliant, brilliant stuff.
*Nadal 3-6 4-6 6-3 6-4 8-8 Muller
Brilliant from Muller! He pushes Nadal wide with his serve, knowing Nadal will return deep - and then he hammers the ball to Nadal's right as the Spaniard goes dancing to his left.
Oops, that's not ideal. A double fault gets Nadal on the board at 30-15, and now a backhand return goes just over the line! 30-30.
Chants of "Rafa..." cautiously start ringing around the court, and Muller briefly quietens them before a backhand down the line goes wide!
Nadal 3-6 4-6 6-3 6-4 8-8 Muller*
Settle this with an arm wrestle, anyone? No? On we go.
Nadal 3-6 4-6 6-3 6-4 8-8 Muller*
Up on tiptoes goes Muller and he lobs a winner over as Nadal races around the baseline.
A wafty sort of return to a big Nadal serve takes us to 15-15, and then Muller wrong-foots Nadal - but slices his response wide! He lets out some words that BBC rules dictate I'm not allowed to type out.
Now it's 40-15, Muller spooning a Nadal serve wide, and the Spaniard holds as Muller goes long again!
*Nadal 3-6 4-6 6-3 6-4 7-8 Muller
Both players look exhausted and yet wide awake at the same time, if that makes any sense.
They've both held their nerves so well. Here's Nadal saving two match points earlier in this set.
*Nadal 3-6 4-6 6-3 6-4 7-8 Muller
New balls are welcomed to the match by Gilles Muller hammering an ace with his first touch of them.
Nadal's staying deep behind the baseline but chunters furiously to himself as a forehand on one leg goes long.
Another ace from Muller, identical to the first, but Nadal gets on the board with a hammered forehand to a bouncy return.
Nadal fights to 40-30, but Muller chucks down that big ol' serve at exactly the right time to hold.
Jamie Baker
Former GB Davis Cup player on BBC Two
Muller has been fantastic from the word go. Even when he lost those two sets, you can't say he was playing bad tennis. He is playing against the greatest player, if not the greatest competitor, we have ever seen.
Nadal 3-6 4-6 6-3 6-4 7-7 Muller*
Nadal holds as Muller's return of serve goes long!
Nadal 3-6 4-6 6-3 6-4 6-7 Muller*
Nadal skips forward, aiming the forehand winner past Muller - and nets!
He recovers though as he comes charging towards the net, hurrying Muller through his shot, and the big man's backhand thwacks into the net.
An ace down the T gets Nadal ahead, and Muller wrestles it back with a forehand winner to Nadal's second serve.
A smash from Nadal takes him to 40-30...
*Nadal 3-6 4-6 6-3 6-4 6-7 Muller
I hope Novak Djokovic and Adrian Mannarino have had plenty to keep them occupied while they've been waiting for this match to end.
We've just ticked over the three and a half hour mark. That's an awful lot of Sudokus to get through.

Breton Towler: Whilst Rafa and Roger are around, tennis will always be the best sport in the world.
Rob Meech: What a wonderful tennis match this is. A contrast of styles always provides the best entertainment.
*Nadal 3-6 4-6 6-3 6-4 6-7 Muller
Game, Muller, another ace down the T. What a time to unleash that serve.
*Nadal 3-6 4-6 6-3 6-4 6-6 Muller
Ooh, and now Nadal has a break point, a loopy strike from Muller going wide!
Can Muller trust his first serve? Yes. Yes he can. A stonker of an ace down the T that Nadal sprawls for and misses.
*Nadal 3-6 4-6 6-3 6-4 6-6 Muller
Big, swinging serve from Muller and Nadal leathers his return wide.
That's advantage Muller - but he squanders it with a forehand into the net! That's his 40th unforced error of the match. On we go...
*Nadal 3-6 4-6 6-3 6-4 6-6 Muller
That's loose from Muller!
Serve, Nadal returns, Muller attempts the volley but it's just a careless little waft, no pace on it, and the ball is in the net. 40-40!
*Nadal 3-6 4-6 6-3 6-4 6-6 Muller
Muller's showing his full range here.
The serves are going out wide, Nadal's getting the returns back in but there's not enough oomph on them, and Muller drops his return volleys short to ensure Nadal can't race in and hit a winner.
An almighty grunt from Nadal as he goes darting out wide, but the ball hits the net cord and sails out.
Finally we get a rally, backhand meeting backhand, and it's Muller who floats his into the net as Nadal mixes up his pace. 40-30.
