It is Osaka’s third Grand Slam title
Azarenka was appearing in her first major final since 2013
The final was played behind closed doors on Arthur Ashe Stadium at Flushing Meadows, New York
So that is that for the women's singles competition at the 2020 US Open.

Philip West: That was a very strange final. Perhaps Azarenka peaked with that blistering first set display, because her level definitely dipped afterwards. Osaka played two superb sets thereafter and probably edged it.
